CNN ^ | July 18, 2022 | CNN

The same surgical procedure that is used to treat a miscarriage is also used for terminating pregnancies. New Texas anti-abortion laws have doctors nervous to perform procedures for miscarriages, forcing this woman to carry her dead fetus in her womb for two weeks. CNN's Elizabeth Cohen has more. #CNN #News

This is a lie. The definition of abortion in Texas law does not include dealing with the aftermath of a dead child in the womb, and it does NOT include an ectopic pregnancy.
The radfem extremists are lying to create propaganda.

Sec. 245.002. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter:

(1) “Abortion” means the act of using or prescribing an instrument, a drug, a medicine, or any other substance, device, or means with the intent to cause the death of an unborn child of a woman known to be pregnant. The term does not include birth control devices or oral contraceptives. An act is not an abortion if the act is done with the intent to:

(A) save the life or preserve the health of an unborn child;

(B) remove a dead, unborn child whose death was caused by spontaneous abortion; or

(C) remove an ectopic pregnancy.

(2) “Abortion facility” means a place where abortions are performed.

(3) Repealed by Acts 2015, 84th Leg., R.S., Ch. 1, Sec. 3.1639(62), eff. April 2, 2015.

(4) “Department” means the Department of State Health Services.

(4-a) “Ectopic pregnancy” means the implantation of a fertilized egg or embryo outside of the uterus.

(4-b) “Executive commissioner” means the executive commissioner of the Health and Human Services Commission.

(5) “Patient” means a female on whom an abortion is performed, but does not include a fetus.

(6) “Person” means an individual, firm, partnership, corporation, or association.

The stories——all of the sudden, BS stories with the addition of “denied” her right and voila, abortion lies. Gosh, I despise our pravda minions in the so called “media”.

I’m sorry. It’s called a D and C and they are done routinely. If there was no fetal heartbeat, then it died in utero. Just like any other miscarriage, the contents are removed so as not to cause infection or hemorrhage.

Had one doctor refused, she could have sought a second opinion, or gone to the ER.

I knew of two women who did this for medical reasons. Life is tough sometimes

This article is ONLY for political PROPAGANDA. OB/Gyn do leave babies that have died in the womb to allow a woman’s body to expel naturally. This is the least damaging to a woman’s cervix so that she may easily conceive again.

That subsection defining abortion is from CURRENT Texas law.

Absolute BS. To put it plainly, if the baby is dead then removing the body from the womb is not an abortion. This is just fear-mongering.

They are wrong and full of manure - there are clauses to get an abortion in these cases

And they had only to document fetal demise, just as they always do.

Thanks for looking it up. Odd that CNN was not capable of doing so when they are ostensibly a professional news organization and random people on the internet not paid to find the facts are able to....

Abortion means taking the life of a pre-born child and removing it from the mother’s body.

Removing a non-living fetus from the mother’s body is not an abortion. I believe it’s a D&C.

You already posted this crock on another thread. Are you looking for attention?

Here’s where they’re called on their bulls**t:

https://freerepublic.com/focus/chat/4079319/posts?page=41#41

Let’s see this pop up in Wisconsin’s local print & wires ... Nope.

Dr Zeal told The Washington Post ... Yep.

WAPO, of course.

Dr Carley Zeal is the OB/Gyn on the case who with other MDs were confused as to how to document patient charts to avoid BEING CHARGED WITH A FELONY ... Uh-Huh.

So let’s peek at how a miscarriage is diagnosed:

https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/pregnancy-loss-miscarriage/diagnosis-treatment/drc-20354304

Diagnosis
Your health care provider might do a variety of tests:

Pelvic exam.
Your health care provider might check to see if your cervix has begun to dilate.

Ultrasound.
During an ultrasound, your health care provider will check for a fetal heartbeat and determine if the embryo is developing as it should be. If a diagnosis can’t be made, you might need to have another ultrasound in about a week.

Blood tests.
Your health care provider might check the level of the pregnancy hormone, human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), in your blood and compare it to previous measurements. If the pattern of changes in your HCG level is abnormal, it could indicate a problem. Your health care provider might check to see if you’re anemic — which could happen if you’ve experienced significant bleeding — and may also check your blood type.

Tissue tests.
If you have passed tissue, it can be sent to a lab to confirm that a miscarriage has occurred — and that your symptoms aren’t related to another cause.

Chromosomal tests.
If you’ve had two or more previous miscarriages, your health care provider may order blood tests for both you and your partner to determine if your chromosomes are a factor.

The year is 2022. Ultrasound technology is very, very advanced.

Daily BS UK is a pet to WAPO and WAPO competes with CNN on how bad they can make things smell.

Um NO the first article was Wisconsin, this one is Texas. This is just proving to all of you what the left is doing to us next. Once again being crybabies saying women are suffering now that Roe is gone.
