SNIP

The 78-year-old music legend offered his commentary after The Weeknd’s Toronto concert received more media coverage than his.

SNIP

“And, by the way, with all due respect to The Weeknd or Drake or any of them. I am far, far, far more important than any of them will ever be, however many billions of streams they’ve got. There is stuff going on here that is fundamentally important to all of our lives,” he said.

SNIP

“I love Roger Waters, and Pink Floyd is one of my all time favorite bands, but this seems like an ‘old man yells at cloud’ moment,” one Twitter user wrote, while another said, “i love roger waters and i think he’s done some amazing things , but that was like 50 years ago. take a step down.”

yes, a super hater of millions of people, most of whom are as innocent as most of the rest of us and all of whom he’s never met and never will meet

in other words, he’s a super-sized evil nut case

he’s so sad....even Satan won’t want him

Waters is so vile .. he’s loathsome

even if he was a pretty good musician, he’s still headed straight for Hell

Devil dogs are okay - but I'm partial to HoHos.
It's the outside chocolate covering that makes the difference, IMO.

Don’t taint David Gilmour & Nick Mason with Roger Water’s Ego.

Those two can’t stand it, either.

Waters is a talented tool. He always has been and will always be one.

I like Cake! Love PF too but this guy has always been a jerk. Don’t know anything about the weekend, but will avoid going forward. Dont know Drake‘s music either, but he’s very handsome. He wins the beauty contest of this group!

Do they call them Boomers in England?

The reason I ask is that he’s of that same segment of Boomer that screws everything up and has been screwing everything up at the national level for the past 25+ years and now... we are living in Boomerdumb.

People think it’s a case of old man yelling at clouds? I think he has a lot of explaining to do.

Who gave up on PF first, you or Waters?
Waters hasn’t been a part of PF since 1985.

Not Gilmore, but Gilmour.

From what I’ve observed, Boomerism was a strictly American phenomenon. Brits didn’t burn draft cards and protest the war in Vietnam as much. Also they accepted Hendrix before American audiences did.

However, brit songwriters did feed boomerism a lot of garbage. John Lennon is a perfect example of someone feeding boomers they kind of crap they wanted to hear.

Yep. 43 years ago. :-). It’s a shame that many of these great artists dry up early in life while achieving so much while young. they continue to write but it’s lame compared to the works of their youth.

“By the way, which one is pink?”

Although there is an official story about a record collection and two albums la la la... I’ve also heard (wink-wink, nudge-nudge) that it is British slang for a tallywacker or a willy or a johnson and that it has been slang for those things since before WWII.

The offensiveness has also been toned down, as... in England people who study whales refer to the whale penis as a Pink Floyd.

I read it on the internet... but I heard it years ago in Scotland, I did.

Just sayin’

It’s hormonal. The same reason most chessmasters are younger, successful mathematicians have been younger, it has to do with drive and hunger and the hormonal drive is there at those younger adult ages.

Affirmation from fans the world over is nice. Great, even. Letting it go completely to your head is understandably human. But bad.

“You take a hard-line against anyone who speaks against Israel, but plead ignorance on Satan-worshippers.

You must be jewish?”

Interesting analysis, I don’t think Satan is really discussed too much in the Torah or the books that the Hebrews use in their studies.

[QUOTE]In the Hebrew Bible, YHWH’s greatest enemies are not fallen angels commanding armies of demons, nor even the gods of other nations, but, rather, human beings. It isn’t the devil that spreads evil across the face of creation—it is mankind. Other than human beings, YHWH has no nemesis, nor are there malevolent spiritual forces not under his authority. YHWH is ultimately a god of justice. He is behind the good and the bad, behind the blessings and the curses. It is within this divine court of justice and retribution that Satan has his origins.[UNQUOTE] Bible History Daily.

Oh brother. If you want to be important in this world, don't become a pop musician. That applies to Roger Waters, Drake, The Weeknd, all of them.

I'm not familiar with either Drake or The Weeknd.

I know enough though about the bigotry and hatred of Roger Waters.

The anti psychotic medication that the insane band member took was in fact the color pink. The psychotic band member was nic-named pink and the band used the word pink in its name. I just wonder who exactly was the psychotic band member and what ever happened to him?!

These celebrities take themselves way too seriously, nonE of them are important in the grand scheme of things, and I couldn’t care less what their opinions are on anything.

If he is he shouldn't have to say it.

Especially not in Canada, where they come from.
