A man in a "New York" baseball cap drew three yellow swastikas on an East 61st Street sidewalk, police said.
The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force is investigating the case.

Too bad they don’t put as much effort into controlling violent criminals as they do to fascist graffiti artists.
Good point.
That movie answers the question: Why did Marlon Brando only direct one movie?
Note: I actually liked it, but felt it was about 30 minutes too long.
I agree with your post. The Nazis certainly were left-wing socialists. As were Mussolini’s Fascists. Your reasoning is solid.
Some people classify the Nazis as right-wing simply because conservatives support a strong military, and so did the Nazis. That argument is both superficial and wrong.
But I will add one thing. There can be right-wing fascists (small f there). Such people believe in property rights, individual freedom, etc. in theory. But they will not tolerate any disagreement or dissent. That’s fascist behavior.
What part of "National Socialist" do they not understand?
Nazis allowed about as much private ownership as we did
They were a one party police state rooted in nationalism and lore and devotion to the state
And allowed Christianity so long as it wasn’t subversive
They detested the left and Bolsheviks which is why they attacked Jews who they identified with the Bolshies rightly or wrongly
Fascist variations between Germany and Italy and Spain and a few others toyed with it
State control and police states can be left or right
Excellent.
Just like DR3

Yep. It’s worth noting that after Hitler invaded the Soviet Union, the Soviets stopped using the term “Nazi”. It was for the reason you mentioned. Can’t have people realize that the Nazis were socialists too.
So Soviet propaganda never said, “We must push back the Nazi invaders.”
It was always, “We must push back the Fascist invaders.”
Yes that is something I have mentioned many times.
In propaganda aimed at the Allied countries, the Nazis referred to themselves as The New World Order.
In a way Stalin was also a National Socialist because he advocated “Socialism in One Country”, as opposed to Lenin and Trotsky’s Internationalism. If anything, Stalin’s goals for Russia were no different than that of the Czars. He also tried to Russify the rest of the Soviet Union.
Wait a min! Isn’t this the city with graffiti all over the trains? The ciy with the recent rise in crime? They have nothing better to do than to send the police force out looking for one gue with a yellow chalk and a gripe?
False flag by a Nazi trying to get sympathy?
Wait...
Obviously fake news. We all know that such crappola is always done by whites wearing MAGA hats.
> In a way Stalin was also a National Socialist <
A nationalist puts his own country first. A socialist believes in the primacy of some collective - individual rights must give way to “the greater good”.
Those two beliefs are not mutually exclusive. You can be both a nationalist and a socialist. As you noted, Stalin is one example of that. Hitler is another.

Someone needs to read the opening chapters of The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich before declaring that the Nazi party was socialist because of their name.
The name was borrowed from a regional Austrian party and didn’t mean anything. Once Hitler gained control it reflected his ideas and he drove out the small faction that actually had socialist ideas.
Can you provide a list of actual Nazi policies and match them up with similar policies of the US Conservative movement?
I provided a list of Nazi policies which I think align well with Left-wing movements in China, Russia, and US Democrats.
Quick recap: Big Government, Collective approach (Group Identity) and not Individual Rights, strong government control over the economy. You see this stuff in Nazi Germany, Fascist Italy, Stalinist Russia, Maoist China, and in the US Progressive movement.
So, a list of Nazi policies that align with Goldwater or Reagan would be appreciated. Thanks.
Hitler only did it because he put building the war machine. It was well-documented that once the war was won the Nazis would have put their ideas in effect. That meant wiping out the business class and having a centralized economy with complete government control of the means of production.
“Can you provide a list of actual Nazi policies and match them up with similar policies of the US Conservative movement?”
Why do you think that is important? That has nothing to do with whether or not Nazism was socialist. Try reading the opening chapters of Shirer and you’ll learn something.
“I provided a list of Nazi policies which I think align well with Left-wing movements in China, Russia, and US Democrats.”
Yeah, it struck me as an ignorant attempt to invent a connection between Nazism and “US Democrats”. FDR who most of us know was a Democrat was the driving force in getting the United States into the war to defeat Nazi Germany. Apparently he didn’t get your memo and didn’t realize he was turning on an ally.
