Critics heaped scorn upon a clip showing Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg excitedly talking about the prospect of "most Americans" switching to electric vehicles due to high gas prices.
During the short clip, which was taken from a Thursday interview between the government official and radio show BigBoyTV, Buttigieg discussed how the U.S. government is looking to cut the cost of electric vehicles so that more Americans will buy them and get out of paying so much for gas.
All smiles, Buttigieg claimed, "We’re for cutting the cost of electric vehicles, because when you have an electric vehicle then you’re also gonna be able to save on gas, but you’ve got to be able to afford it in the first place."
Buttigieg continued, "Now we’re actually starting to see on some models, the cost come to where, even if your car payment’s a little higher, your gas payment will be a little lower and you come out ahead."
The clip ended with him claiming, "But the prices still need to come down for most Americans to be able to get an EV."
For Americans angry at Biden’s energy policies – which critics claimed seem to have followed through on his campaign promise to get Americans off fossil fuels – Buttigieg’s statements added insult to injury.

Dunno - “Asshole” always comes to mine for me...
MIND?! 😲😅✌. As we all know, EVs cost nothing to power because, well, wind, solar.........
In 2007 I worked with a guy who smoked Tareytons, never thought I’d see the brand again after working that job.
Buttigig thinks all Americans are millionaire politicians. Sorry buttwipe. I don’t have the bucks to play the government’s EV game. I probably wouldn’t do it if I had the money. If I ever get elected to that Outhouse on The Hill in the Swamp and I make my first million, I’ll let you know how it turned out.
We’re for cutting the cost of electric vehicles
but never talks about what powers them and how the price of the mystery power will go way up
“Let them eat cake!”
That’s what another pussy said...
ARE ALL THESE PEOPLE DUMB AND DUMBER?
Pete gets slammed.
Leftists just want you to convert to a computer controlled car that government can turn off remotely.
This whole administration is just one huge clown show with jokes that keep writing themselves.
Yea...the jokes on us...
The Local fools tried that here months ago when the price of gas started go up up up but they stopped it
“In 2007 I worked with a guy who smoked Tareytons, never thought I’d see the brand again after working that job.”
Back in 1974 I dated a girl who smoked Tareytons; she was probably the only person I knew who did. Back in those days Marlboro and Winston were the preferred smokes. Except for the blacks: Only menthol smokes (Salem; Kool; Bel-Air).
Buttigieg isn't stupid, he's a technocrat and a disciple of Klaus Schwaub. He know exactly what he's doing.
“Yea...the jokes on us...”
Tragically so.
Or the VAST amounts of copper needed to build them and the electrical infrastructure. Massive copper shortages are predicted and it takes TWELVE years to open a new copper mine. You simply cannot open up enough copper mines quickly enough to make the transition.
Same with rare earth elements. You you mine massive amounts of the earth’s crust to get the elements needed for “green” power systems and EVs.
Then there is the end of life problem for solar cells and windmills. There is no recycle solution for the spent solar panels in 20 or 30 years and they are highly toxic. The landscape will be covered with dead windmills in 50 years time, the blades all worn out and thrown into gigantic landfills.
This whole “green” fetish is utter insanity and driven by a global warming hoax. But there is a lot of money to be made and it appears unstoppable. At least until people can’t heat or cool their homes and can’t afford an EV.
“At least until people can’t heat or cool their homes and can’t afford an EV.”
When do you think that will be...th8s winyer or next?
This winter or next?
Brownhole is what Butty-boi is all about.
