A lot of people have had legitimate reasons to fear this disease and try and protect themselves against it. Making fun of them and calling them ‘maskers’ is unnecessary.

It’s not really those people I’m making fun of; it’s the vocal defenders of mask-wearing and mask mandates as meaningful and effective policy.

If you want to wear a mask, ball-gag, or plastic wrap over your head and pretend it’s doing something, ABSOLUTELY do so.

But please understand that the rest of us are under no compulsion to humor anyone’s superstition or hypochondria.

I’ve never assumed that anyone is under any compulsion at all.

I just don’t like generalizations that make fun of people indiscriminately simply because those people made personal choices regarding managing their own health issues.

I have never advocated enforced masking or imposed vaccination for anyone; but I’ve been called a ‘vaxxer’ and a ‘shill’ and every other name floating around here simply for relating my personal decisions and opinions.

There are people here who take out their frustrations with everything - and exercise their swollen egos - by getting off smart-ass remarks about others all the time. It makes them look a lot worse than the ones they ridicule.

What are the actual benefits of wearing masks?

…simply because those people made personal choices regarding managing their own health issues.

If you think the mask debate over the past two years has had anything to do with ‘personal choices’, then I don’t know what to tell you. It’s like you’ve been living on a different planet since April 2020.

I know what has happened to me and others HERE - just because we chose to get vaccinated and didn’t complain about wearing a mask when and where required.

If you haven’t observed the abuse laid on people here precisely FOR their personal choices, you’ve been asleep.

What you’re claiming makes no sense. How does one get attacked for NOT complaining.

If you didn’t mind masks, then why were you discussing it, unless you were supporting mandates and junk science claiming masks work?

Wearing masks in public is stupid and mask mandates are evil. Only evil people support mandates and I won’t hold back saying it because buttercups might get their feelings hurt.

People here who posted that they had taken the vaccine because they thought it was best for them and had no fear of it, were ridiculed and called names. People who posted that they didn’t mind much about wearing the masks were called names and called names like ‘sheep’.

The ridicule has been rife coming from some who proudly call themselves ‘pure bloods’.

I don’t know how much plainer I can make it. If you are suspicious of the vaccine, or refuse to wear a mask, I really don’t care what you do. But when people ridicule others for their health choices - usually without knowing anything at all about the individual’s issues or reasons - I think that’s mean and, again, unnecessary.

I got vaxxed because I was coerced into it by my employer. Luckily I took the J&J, which seems to be much less damaging (as long as you don’t get an immediate clot, mostly a risk for older women). I did it because I felt I needed to at the time for my career, which I need to support my family.

It was the wrong choice, because I didn’t want it and didn’t need it, and I’ll never forgive the people and attitudes of the country that made something like this possible.

The only solace I have is that those vaxxed with the J&J seem to have a lower all cause mortality rate than any other group, including the unaxxed.

No one called me names, and even if they did, I wouldn’t care.

My husband and I both had the Moderna.

Except for the second shot, which left us feeling very flu-ey for 24 hours, we’ve had no problem and have never contracted Covid.

I haven't had COVID either, but the J&J at best provides two or three months of protection (if any at all). Even Fauci just admitted that the shots "don’t protect overly well against infection."

The whole thing was a giant moneymaking scam by the pharma cartel and the Feds.

Dr. Fauci: COVID-19 vaccines don’t protect ‘overly well’ against infection
