Good point.
“I’m 72 and don’t care for it much any more. Maybe a glass of wine now and then ...”
Ditto. Sometimes we’ll open a bottle of wine to have with Italian food. Then we’ll forget about it and it goes bad. We throw away more wine than we drink and neither of us likes beer. We forget. I guess.
In my “yout” I’d have a martini or screwdriver now and then. Haven’t had one in decades; never think about it.
It helps ugly women get laid
Funny.
And if they’re too young for alcohol, I suppose they’re too young to vote?
Of course, if we’re going by that logic, only women, I suppose, should be allowed to own or use guns or knives, be trained in the military, etc.
Could lead to complete transgenderism, with “biological” men and women completely changing sides?
As usual leftists are focusing on the worst cases. Many many people drink occasionally or moderately. They need no nannying.
That’s the best time for alcohol.. recovery time if much quicker !
Alcohol is nobody’s friend. Enjoy a bit, now and then if you want but “intoxication” has the same root as “toxic”. YMMV but if drinking is a daily activity you might may want to re-think a few things. Your call.
LOL. Or at least that is the fallback excuse men use.
Good for you.
👍
There are 480,000 tobacco-related deaths in the US annually.
Wake when alcohol kills more than tobacco.
In fact, tobacco is on track to become the single greatest killer in the history of mankind. Prior to the invention of the cigarette rolling machine (about 1880), and all the way back to the beginning of mankind, tuberculosis is believed to have been the single leading cause of death. Prior to the 20th Century, TB is believed to have been responsible for one death in seven.
480,000 amounts to one death in five," but that's only in the US, and owing to all the anti-smoking campaigns, per capita tobacco use in the US has dropped about 75% since the 1960s. Many other countries also have their own anti-tobacco crusades but few (if any) have had the impact of America's.
Which means that it's just a matter of time until tobacco overtakes TB to become the single greatest killer of men since the dawn of time.
People just looking for excuses to tell other people how to live their lives.
Crap like this is why I’m a “l”ibertarian conservative.
Remember when people actually believed what “new studies” said?
Sunday, went to a place called Rock n Brew in The Colony. I had two Texas Flood margaritas over a 3 hour period. I handed the car keys to my wife, those were large margaritas.
My 4 years at Gonzaga prepared me well for living in Germany (doubt that could be said of the current campus). There were a few keggers every weekend, and hockey team parties during the week.
My German friends were flummoxed that an American could hang with them. That beer and wine over there was truly fantastic. My favorite beer was Konigsbacher Pils, while my wine tastes favored Mosel Riesling, specifically Spatlese. It was hard to get too buzzed drinking Riesling, the alcohol content ranged between 8%-10%.
I still buy a couple of cases every year from Weingut Eduard Kroth in Briedel, I've been a customer for over 40 years.
Deano.
First…it tastes absolutely delicious. Far better than sodas or juices.
Second…it can make you feel just a little bit more relaxed and joyful at times.
