the rino push pollers are a YEAR early, and desperate to help the demonrats who keep paying them a stipend to stay inside the Beltway and feed at the trough of our plenty. In the middle of what is surely already a Recession. Pitiful talking points that 9% is month old inflation...yeah right.

It’s on the order of 20% in mission critical chains.

I’m keeping my powder dry on this until after the midterms. But it will take a lot for me to not go with Trump.

Red Eagle has some great videos. I didn’t see this one yet, but I will comment after seeing it. REP is a 20 something political commentator. He is I believe at Texas A&M.

I will watch the video shortly, but my gut feeling says that if DeSantis runs against Trump, there will be a whole lot of people that stay home. OTOH, if Trump decides to NOT run, and DeSantis runs, he’s golden.

Richard Baris of Baris Polling says DeSantis doesn’t have the name recognition outside of FL.

DeSantis. Trump got rolled by Leonard Leo. Trump’s legacy is secure and towards the end he was losing the plot.

There is no Trump vs DeSantis.
But fake news media can keep trying anyways.

My scenario is Trump 2024. DeSantis tkaes more years to teach Governors how to be Governor. He’s aided by Kari Lake and a couple others. VP resigns in mid 2026. DeSantis is named VP, runs successfully for POTUS in 2028

Should not be no contest. Both should be on same ticket.

DeSantis would make the Democrats move on, and his presidency would set Trump’s legacy, which would allow him and his family to begin to reap well-deserved rewards for his considerable service to our country.

The GOP primaries are still a couple of years away and the primary voters can tell us who the nominee should be. I’m fine with supporting either Trump or DeSantis as the nominee.

Trump’s age is my only worry. He would be 78 if elected in 2024 and 82 at the end of his term. He is definitely sharper than our current dotard.

Either way is great and I think Trump would make a great VP or President (again).

Either way he’d still be more than just your typical show piece arm whore VP as currently exists!

Trump is a destroyer. He is at his best when tearing down things we don't like: the Clinton dynasty, Bush/RINOs, the Paris Treaty. etc.

He is a terrible team player and worse team builder.

Trump should run for Gov of FL and turn his formidable force against Freedom's absolute worst enemy - the US federal govt. Take back states' rights in glorious Trumpian fashion.

President Ron will help, he understands the 10th, has exec experience, is more likely to attract a solid supportive R team.

Ron would have a full 8 yrs in that role.

So could Don. He could be king of FL till he dies. A much more productive role for him. A much safer swamp, only gators and snakes. A friendly legislative branch. No US Senate involved in his appointments. He likes living there. Better golf courses.

Those two could have fun keeping each other in check, both could say: "Hey, dont't BS me, I've done your job before..."

For the first time in our lifetimes, we could incline toward fed/state devolution of power. If the egos involved don't prevent it. FL King Trump could, for example, demand feds out of education. A red wave and a DeSantis prez could help get that done. Finally.

DC is not a thing to be fixed, it is a thing to be destroyed - politically.

The uniquely American notion of small central govt and God-given individual rights... is nearly dead. The number one thing that concept needs for survival is stronger / bolder states. Who is stronger and bolder than Trump? A flamboyant, kick-ass gov could start an historic trend in that direction.

This should be done while the Supremes are finally helping out in this regard.

If Trump was gov and treated DC the way he treated the EU / WHO / UN... then we'd have some hope for real progress.

The Final Verdict

Final??? Really???

It's 2022. DeSantis is running for Governor and Trump is running his mouth. Let's see what the world looks like in 18 months or so.

You know all this in fighting among the base as to who will be the candidate no body is asking the question will there be a country left to run in 2024. This country has fallen over the cliff and all that’s waiting is for it to go splat. You would think that for the sake of our country survival Ron DeSantis would agree to run with Trump as a VP. This would be an absolutely awesome ticket. We’re dying out here ....please Mr. Trump and DeSantis put the nation first and run in one ticket as a team. We need you we desperately REALLY need you .....HELP!
