“There’s an upside to being at ground zero.”
Amen! The best place to be in the event of. Instant liquifaction.
“Research shows...” almost always precedes a great steaming pile of bovine excrement.
Compared to even a relatively small volcanic eruption nukes are not that big. And both Japan and Germany had cities firebombed before nuked. Not to mention dust storms and wildfires. And nuking military bases will have almost no effect on food supplies. Nuking cities will mean people will have to get acquainted with real food rather than the processed garbage they currently eat.
The biggest impact would be taking out refineries. That would probably doom more people than anything, probably more than the nukes themselves. Loss of power plants and the electric grid would also have a huge impact.
And surrendering to Russia would get you exactly nothing. This is nothing but nonsensical fantasizing.
Revelation doesn’t mention America because it was set in the first century as it says right in the letter.
Are there other things or places in Prophesy or Revelation that the writer or prophet would be completely unfamiliar with?
Wouldn’t it be more logical to say that America isn’t in Prophesy because the prophets wouldn’t know that America existed in the first place? How or why would God reveal things about America to a prophet in the middle east 2500 years ago?
So how many warheads will that take?
“It is true that most Americans would starve.”
At least the city slickers would. If food is not in the store they’re goners.
Maybe I’m thinking of one of the sequels. Might be mistaking improvised stuff that looked like big mounted guns. Been many years since I’ve seen them.
In the book “One Second After” (which I found compelling) about 90% of the population dies. Those who survive strikes on the cities will start roaming the suburbs, then countryside. If you don’t have guns/ammo, you will not survive very long.
After the first 4 months, food stores may be exhausted and radiation may make any food that is grown inedible.
I would not be surprised if only 5% of the population remained after 2 years. And the survivors would have it very rough indeed.
Don’t look for any of our neighbors/allies to come to our rescue.
“They win. We lose.”
You can surrender now, Sparky.
Used to be that FR limited characters on screen names...
Wouldn’t let me spell out
Liberals, The Other White Meat.
And ammo, unlike in the movies, is a finite supply. You run out if you can’t reload and have reloading supplies.
if i had to guess, were it to happen, there would be a great watering of the tree of liberty, with a cleansing of the country from all those who led us here, since there would no longer be any reason not to!
starvation would be the least of their problems...
My theory is that the Union is dissolved long before Armageddon so there’s just regional warlords ruling areas that weren’t vaporized in Russia and China’s opening launch gambit. The First Strike.
The movie “The Book of Eli” is a likely foreshadowing of what is headed our way.
America’s not absent.
This is news?
Did I wake up in 1983?
And most Russians would melt after the fourth round of attacks from our subs.
You Russia fan bois are digging pretty deep these days.
Fear Porn.
Notice the emphasis on “Americans”...
Russia would end. Might be worth it...
But they could see into the future, don’t ya know?
If someone did that today, the same folks preaching Revelation would call them witches and would stone them.
I guess their 2000 year old malarkey is better than modern malarkey.
If there is nuclear war I want to be right where it hits. No way would I want to survive in a world that remains.
This is unlikely with all of the open land and game in the US.
But, the propaganda continues to roll out.
