Let's place the blame for mass shootings where it belongs, our government!

The blame for mass shootings and other gun crimes lies directly with the federal, state, and local authorities for not reporting criminal activities and domestic disputes directly to ATF, the agency that clears the purchase of weapons.

It usually takes only a couple hours for law enforcement to put the picture together after the fact. That means they have that information at hand but not in a central data base.

More data entry is required. We have all the gun laws we need. Government is not enforcing the laws. Every time, the shooter has a history, has been posting plans of social media.

No, not this simple. Of course, there are lots of other factors that need to be addressed and laws that must be changed. But, it seems to me, when you get right down to it, the basic problem is government incompetence.

The ATF will not go after leftwingers. They want high levels of violence because it justifies their existence. Unless you like more Waco style atrocities.

Disband the BATF.

Apparently the laws do not apply to that family.

Wasn’t there a case in Florida just a short time ago where the file was never entered-still sitting on someones desk— so the guy didn’t get flagged?

I believe you have this all wrong. The problem is in the late 70’s all the mental hospitals were shut down and closed. Families were forced to find solutions to mentally unstable individuals in their households without state help. Families are not capable of dealing with individuals with rational behavior. The results are that most of the population needed mental health go untreated.

The individuals that are treated by doctors are not reported to any law enforcement agencies. Doctors believe patients deserve protection.

So we have all the mentality I’ll either on the street without care or if they recieve mental health care it is not shared.

We have all the gun laws we need.

Every last one of them is a violation of the Supreme Law of the Land. We have a government which routinely and egregiously violates the laws under which it was created.

A good portion of the “blame” is attributed to the fact the laws are written for action to occur after a problem develops. You know, assumed innocent until proven guilty! One’s thoughts is not guilty only actions.

I don’t think you would want police to act on the government’s perception of your thoughts!

I find the whole “Hate Crime” legal concept completely bogus!
Can anyone who’s not lying truly say what a perpetrators state of mind is while doing the commission of a crime? I knew when this became a “pop” legal idea basically enshrining “mind reading” as a prosecution procedure much much worse would eventually follow!

The Community Mental Health Act of 1963. Blame JFK and his New Frontier initiative, to be replaced by LBJ’s Great Society. Talk about a 1, 2 punch!

Red Flag Laws won’t work if family and friends refuse to use them for someone they know is dangerous. If the police refuse to red flag an individual they know is dangerous for any reason then red flag are useless. If the Liberal DAs and AGs refuse to incarcerate someone they know is dangerous and continue a no bail justice system then red flags are useless.

Sorry, but no federal agency should know what weapons I choose to keep or bear, let alone have the power to deny them to me.

If you can't be trusted to be armed you should not be running around loose.

Specifically, the DNC party of death. They and their “media” toads are driving this “mass shooting” extravaganza.

You are mostly correct but left out something critical. The left promotes racial hatred and violence for political gain. It is that simple. They do not care about blacks, browns, Asians, etc. They only care about Marxist Power that kills and subjugates all. Oddly they recognize the failure of past Marxist governments but always think, “We will get it right this time.” They are always wrong. It is always followed by tragedy. I lived in Venezuela before Chavez. It was great. It had the highest standard of living in South America. It was corrupt but no less corrupt than our government here in the USA, perhaps less. The people tired of the corruption and thus elected a charismatic leader, Chavez. He was a communist. Venezuela today is a hell hole in economic collapse. His assigned successor Maduro is no different.

The original constitution of Venezuela post dictatorship was almost a carbon copy of ours. It had a fatal flaw. It had no second amendment. One of Chaves’s first acts was to pack the Supreme Court of Venezuela to enact laws that made him Supreme. Does this sound familiar?

It is not because those at the top like the violence and hatred. It is because it is a path to political power and they do not give a damn about what they created. Hitler’s brown shirts burnt the Reich Stag and paved his way to political power greased by hatred.

If you doubt my words just read Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals.” It should be noted that Hillary was an acolyte of him.
