Far be from me to give them good advice. But personally I think they should just own it. I remember when GWB use to be a gaffe machine and say things like “I want to help you put food on your family”. He would laugh it off and even joke about it himself. If they really wanted to take the edge off it, they would have Biden go out during his next speech and do the exact same thing, then just wink at the camera (of course that would rely on him being capable of doing more than just reading what is written on a teleprompter, so might be impossible).

There was a video from Sky News in Australia making great derisive hay out of the Biden lack of mental presence. The incident is billed as a gaffe but is mental incompetence for all the world to laugh about

I was just watching Stuart Varney on Fox Business. He was briefly reporting on Biden’s incoherent speeches and also spoke briefly about Kamala’s “word salad” statements.
