I admit my ignorance. What keeps the US or Brazil, for example, from producing all the fertilizer it needs, from its own resources?
Well ratings for CNN, MSNBC, the J6 hearings, keep falling. We have lots of fertilizer coming out of them, but nobody is paying attention to it.
Florida has the nations largest phosphate deposits but the envirowhackos are calling for a cessation of mining due to algal blooms in local waters.
“I admit my ignorance....”
I’m just guessing but it could be US taxes, environmental laws, regulations, corporate hostility, cheap overseas labor and stuff.
?
The EPA.
Biden banning natural gas fracking. Phosphate mines shut down and phosphate regs.
The price of energy is the cause.
Haber-Bosch Process is the only way known to break N2 triple bond and then reform it to NH3.
This is why after a big lightning storm, the grass and trees look so green.
Lightning has enough energy to break the N2 bond.
Biden's greenies are shutting down oil and natural gas operations. Both produce raw materials to manufacture and transport fertilizers. This has been underway since shortly after his inauguration. It is part of the overall scheme to generate a government caused famine. You are the carbon they are intent to reduce.
The EPA and the WH. The Haber-Bosch process uses natural gas as a major feedstock. Expanding these capabilities in the US isn’t happening.
Fifty years ago, we produced more crops that the rest of the world combined. Now we won’t be bothered to make fertilizer?
Haven’t you heard?????
Carbon is BAAADDD!!!!
