"Well anyway, Bannon’s house got swatted. Nobody was hurt, but heavily armed police officers surrounded and swarmed his fancy Capitol Hill townhome on Friday afternoon, according to a report from the Washington Post. The police allegedly went to Bannon’s address in response to a crisis hotline report that there was an armed man inside a residence on the 200 block of A Street NE, who had shot someone. As a result, police shut down nearby streets for about an hour."

He should be used to this stupid shit by now. The police probably knew Bannon lived there before they showed up, knowing full well, the alleged threat was phony. Anonymous hotline tip, and SWAT shows up for that, while at the same time, someone who needed their help, couldn’t get it? Wouldn’t surprise me one bit.
I think it’s much more sinister than “ knuckle head “ . Although it happened during Warroom this morning . Whoever did it had to know Bannon wasn’t there .

Yes, my wife is a paraplegic in a wheelchair from an auto accident many years ago. When we used to live in CA, we lived in the country, in a small secluded development about 1o miles outside of Chico Ca. It’s about 100 miles Norther of Sacramento in the foothills.
I was often times away due to work and my wife would be alone, and our last dog at the time died in 2013. About a year later during the Christmas season, a few homes got burglarized while the owners were away. So we decided then to get the two shepherds.
They are AKC sisters from the same litter. Both are 7, and each weighs about 120 lbs. Their father was a retired K9 police dog, and he was big. We expected them to be no bigger than the mother which was 85 lbs. Boy were we wrong, they took on the characteristics and build of their father, MAX.
No worries about burglaries, or anyone ever accosting my wife. They protect her like she is Fort Knox. Unfortunately, it limits my wife’s ability to get too friendly with strangers, but they do their job.
Apparently I’m just as cynical and paranoid as you are. /s
How could they not know who lived there? Reverse 911 gives all that kind of info, address, occupants, homeowner. Why wouldn’t the GPS that cops use not have all that info based on the address? Especially if you’re going in with SWAT.
Agreed...my wife and I were swatted by a neighbor in soviet Red Hampshire about ten years ago. The perp was the ‘goddaughter’ of a town official, so nothing came of it. We were fortunate enough to be outside when the police rolled up, so they never got to deploy the battering rams they were carrying. I’m sure the cops went home in tears...
How would reverse 911 know about occupancy etc ?

It wouldn’t necessarily have the names of renters but it ought to have the owner’s name and who is listed as owning the phone.
If not it’s easily found by anyone through the online county property registry.

That is what happened in Wichita. Some bugger gamer from out of state had his competitor swatted resulting in fatality. I think a charge and conviction of manslaughter was the result.

The swatter can be from anywhere. In 2017, a dispute over an Internet game prompted a guy in Los Angeles to “Swat” someone in Wichita, Kan. by making an emergency call and finding a way to make the operator think it was local. However, the cops raided the wrong address and an innocent man wound up dead. The swatter got caught and is now in the crowbar motel.
That’s a beautiful home. The interior is a little too fru-fru for me, but the architecture is amazing.
