Good Friday Fellow Freepers.
What follows is a copy of an email I just received today from the local civilian personnel office at the military installation I work at. As you can see, the crux of the email deals with the continued stay on the federal Covid mandates.
I thought you all would want to see this.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Subject: CPS Transmittal: XXX/XXX Msg#2022-0056 -- Status of COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate Injunction for Civilian Employees
Colleagues:
Please disseminate to HR Professionals, Supervisors and Employees.
The purpose of this transmittal is to forward XXX/XXX Message # 2022-0056 -- Status of COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate Injunction for Civilian Employees. This message provides an updated status on the Injunction for the COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate. Note, on 21 January 2022, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas issued a nationwide injunction, preliminarily suspending the Federal Government's ability to implement and enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement for Federal civilian employees. On 7 April 2022, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals overturned the District Court’s injunction on the federal civilian employee vaccination mandate. Recently, on 27 June 2022, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit granted an en banc hearing before all of its judges and, while the case is being heard, the court has stayed the mandate, meaning the injunction remains in place. The 5th Circuit set a hearing for the week of 12 September 2022. The stay means the mandate will remain on hold at least until then.
Please continue to maintain status quo. The Department of the Air Force will not take any actions to implement or enforce the vaccination requirement pursuant to E.O. 14043.
Questions from supervisors and employees should be directed to the servicing Civilian Personnel Office.
Civilian Personnel Offices can direct any questions to the Civilian Support Branch at: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.
Thank you,
Civilian Support Branch

SUBJECT: Status of COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate Injunction for Civilian Employees
SUSPENSE: N/A
1. PURPOSE: To inform Commanders, supervisors, and DAF civilian employees of the status concerning the injunction suspending the Federal government's ability to implement and enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement for Federal civilian employees, mandated by Executive Order (E.O.) 14043.
2. BACKGROUND: On 9 Sep 21, the President of the United States directed Executive Branch agencies to implement a COVID-19 vaccination requirement for Federal employees to ensure the health and safety of the Federal workforce and members of the public with whom they interact by signing E.O. 14043. The DoD and DAF subsequently issued implementing guidance; however, on 21 Jan 22, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas issued a nationwide injunction, preliminarily suspending the Federal Government's ability to implement and enforce the COVID-19 vaccination requirement for Federal civilian employees.
3. STATUS: On 27 Jun 22, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit granted an en banc hearing before all of its judges and, while the case is being heard, the court has stayed the mandate, meaning the injunction remains in place. The 5th Circuit set a hearing for the week of 12 Sep 22, meaning the mandate will remain on hold at least until then. Previously released "COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate Injunction For Civilian Employees Guidance", dated 2 March 2022, remains in effect.
They should give all government workers and contractors the same leeway that the CDC and and NIH apparently give their workers.
