I think the color green signifies an abundant supply of CO2. These are the tears of Mother Gaia.

Green indicates a significant hail core. It filters sunlight down to the ground in the green spectrum, like a prism.

WOW!
A friend’s daughter recently moved to SD. She’s kind of re-thinking it based upon all the rough weather they’ve had this spring. Lots of downed trees on her new property to deal with, and so much rain you can’t get any clean-up done. :(

I once saw a sky that looked similar to that, on April 3, 1974 when we lived in Xenia Ohio.

I saw lightning that color when hurricane Alicia came onshore in 1983. We were about 30 miles inland and missed the eye wall by a few miles at best.

Saw this Green phenomenon back in the late 70’s in Central Ohio. It came down rather heavy at the time, and I remember this distinctly because of the Green.

Not an uncommon site here in TX. I’ve seen these green skies many times.

My folks said a green sky meant a hail storm was on it’s way.

I am from Minnesota and I told my cousin out here several years ago in California about seeing green skies back there when tornadoes are in the area. She did not believe me. I sent her photos.
