There will be no Grand Slam for Rafael Nadal in 2022.
Nadal, the winner of the Australian Open and French Open earlier this year, is withdrawing from Wimbledon.
The news was first reported by The Times in the UK.

Number of GS tournament wins is the only statistics where Nadal is ahead of Djokovic at the moment.
Djokovic has won five ATP Finals, while Nadal has not won it.
Djokovic was ranked #1 for 373 weeks vs 209 weeks for Nadal.
Djokovic won 38 Masters 1000 tournaments, Nadal won 36.
And finally, in head to head matches Djokovic leads 30:29.
Interesting idea. Especially since Fritz did so well and won more games in the match.
I dont think Nadal could beat Kyriogos. That said, Kyriogos is a bit of a jerk.

He is allowed to get away with just about anything and should never happen in the sport of tennis. He is a huge money draw because of his vulgarity, nastiness, rule breaking and insanity, the crowd loves it. Sounds like he has some trouble ahead when he returns to Australia, regarding the assault charge by his ex-girlfriend.
I turned on tennis a few days ago for the first time in a very long time. It was Wimbledon and there was this guy and his antics and his tattoos. It turned me off and I turned it off. The media needs to stop promoting bad behavior. I didn’t like it when McEnroe did it too. That’s just me, I guess.
