An angry little squirrel has been filmed trying to scare away a black bear 1,000 times bigger that was trying to steal its nuts in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.
In a clip from new Disney+ documentary series America the Beautiful, a hidden camera captures the moment when a bear tries to raid the squirrel's stash of nuts that it has been gathering for the winter, and the squirrel does its best to chase it away.
This camera trap footage is part of the documentary crew's approach, capturing fly-on-the-wall behavior that the animals might never have done if there was a human camera crew lurking nearby. This allowed the team to film smaller, quirkier natural stories that they might not have even known to look for.

I’m thinking “Scrat” from Ice Age.
it’s all fun and games until someone loses a nut...
This is BS. There are a dozen links there, not one pointing to the clip, and no video clip on the landing page.
Eff Disney.
Yes...I was in my hammock, watching my feeder via really strong binoculars, and there was a gray squirrel, laying face down on a wooden cross-member of my pergola. Its legs were dangling in an odd, relaxed mode. My binoculars are very powerful and have motion correction in them, so the squirrel’s entire body filled my field of view, very sharp.
And the squirrel was eyeballing me eyeballing him.
While I was watching this squirrel in this odd posture, the birds were exhibiting all the classic behaviors that indicate the presence of a predator such as a hawk or a cat...clipped chirping, nobody at the feeder, all out of site.
I eventually noticed our neighbor’s cat, a beautifully dark gray short hair female with vivid green eyes sitting, relaxing right under the squirrel. She looked up, but paid no notice.
The squirrel, right above her, looked like me in math class when I was in third grade...its squirrel eyes were drifting...drifting...drifting closed. It was a hot day, and it looked like it just couldn’t stay awake!
Point was, neither one of them cared the other was there. Squirrel wasn’t afraid of cat, and cat wasn’t the least interested in squirrel. And I have seen them in close range for both of them with the same level of disinterestedness and boredom.
The cat, an accomplished hunter, simply was not inclined to hunt squirrel. I suspect squirrels could be formidable prey, and simply not worth it. Perhaps it was a size thing...too close to cat size. Don’t know.
I’m the one who posted that. The Squirrel Grenade. Cannot find it on FR any more, but here’s a copy from somewhere else.

I would be too, if I had to eat nuts all day!
Aye cee whut u did there.ð
Several years ago I watched a documentary on squirrels and their amazing problem-solving abilities. A course was set up between a squirrel and food (probably nuts), then an impediment was put in the way. Squirrel defeated that. Another impediment was added to the first. Squirrel defeated both of them. It went on and on. Impressive.
Obviously when it comes to crossing roads, the problem solving is not top-notch.
Video is here:
I just accidentally smoked a racoon out of my outdoor fireplace flue.
First he went meow, then a few barks at me, then he was off.
“they raid bird nests and eat the eggs”
Well, when I try to feed squirrels at the park, a flock of pigeons will try to butt in and steal all the nuts. So turnabout is fair play.
That’s the one.
Thanks guy.

Yep, that’s exactly how I interpret it. “See, we aren’t so bad. We aren’t just trying to groom your kids for the pedos. We love America, too. AND your kids.”
Bunch of fresh bull squeeze from Disney.
There is no video. The article is an ad for the disney plus gaybar network special.
2 lousy slides.
