On a recent excursion to the northwest, the Cowboys linebacker shared a video of himself feeding a fish to a wild bear.
“Definitely a couple firsts this weekend,” Vander Esch wrote on his Instagram. “Not often you get to feed a wild bear and get a picture with two sturgeon in the same frame. Amazing weekend with family making memories that will last a lifetime! Thank you @killgoreadventures for an awesome trip.”
Killgore Adventures, the fishing and ATV rental firm that Vander Esch tagged, is based in Idaho.

I was helping my daughter prep for a hike in bear country. Lots of requirements to keep the food away from bears. The bears equate food to humans, and then will hang around humans more, and the greater risk of a conflict.
Oh well.

He’s also endangering other people that this bear might encounter.

You can hear some idiot woman (ooops, birthing person) in the background with a high, squeeky, valley girl type voice going, “Ooooh she’s so cuute.” Yeah, cute enough to rip your throat out if you get too close.
Yeah, bears are all cute and funny looking right up until they take off the doors off your car looking for food.

This bear will become a nuisance and have to be put down. Intentional feeding of bears ought to incur a penalty equivalent to illegal hunting.
