I LOVE bookmarks - small projects & they can be really beautiful. This one is similar to another one I have that is very pretty .....

Then I saw this baby blanket - I think part of the appeal is in the color(s) used (love them) .... took a look at the stitch pattern in more detail and there is some interest there as well, but I don’t think this blanket would be so pretty in a single color:

Back in 2010, for Christmas I made cross-stitch bookmarks with Bible verses for the ladies in my quilting group. Diane died in 2019, and her daughter took the bookmark. Judy died last Sunday. I know her husband will find it in her Bible, as she said it never has left her Bible.
They’re relatively quick to make, beautiful to look at, and provide a way for friends to remember you.
