Brittney Griner is speaking for herself for the first time in a long time as she's been detained in Russia pending a trial -- and her words are an emotional plea to President Biden.
Excerpts of a letter sent to the White House this week on behalf of Griner were published Sunday, through reps for Griner, and it consists of bullet point thoughts she's expressing as she faces years behind bars for allegedly bringing hash cartridges into the country.

It is stunning how people, especially privileged young leftists, have no concept of actions and consequences. I think that for professional athletes they have had people covering their asses most of their lives and simply have never had to confront the reality of their deeds. Big and little. Skating all your life on the little stuff leads to that one big error from which you just can’t be bailed out.
I’m sure to this woman this is a surreal nightmare and likely she has no understanding of how she arrived at this place.
