Big game hunting is what funds the African conservation programs, and the animals chosen for culling are old.

Without the money from big game hunting, the poachers get to run wild.

Big game hunter propaganda. The vast majority of money comes from tourists armed with telephoto lenses, not rifles.

You are wasting your time with anti-hunting idiots. They are against hunting, and do nothing to conserve the species.

These are the stupid individuals who cheer when confiscated ivory is torched, which then drives up the price on the black market, and encourages poachers even more.

The confiscated ivory should flood the market and drive the price down.

The Maasai are being relocated away from their territorial lands by mainly European interests for that purpose. They will call it conservation.

Set up reserves on the land you want to force the Maasai to inhabit. (The money will not as conveniently flow in the desired directions however.)
