“...black bears are now a common sighting...”

Here in SW Pa., I have never seen a black bear in this area. Last one seen in my township was a hundred years ago. Right over the Delaware River, in Nj., there are several in every trashcan. The difference? Hunting, and mixing with pork for sausages.

We have a farm near Franklin, PA.

Mainly natural gas and Christmas trees now.

But there are black bears all over up there.

Constantly getting blackberries and blueberries. Scratching at the cabin windows at night. Knocking over our chairs. They are a pain in the butt!
