I’m gonna vent here because all y’all are my true friends and have never betrayed me.
This woman, I have known since 1997.
When she or her dogs were sick and as usual, she couldn’t afford a vet, I sent medicines and whatever else they needed.
When our home business went to crap because of Obama due to our usual customers, veterans and military, being the first to suffer, I still sent her whatever I could scrounge up.
Before it all went south for us, I sent her good paint and paintbrushes as she makes a meager living selling art stuff to her filthy rich liberal show dog “friends”.

After things went bad for us, I would still make sure to send her the usual Christmas and birthday presents, because God knows she’d get nothing else of value, otherwise, by “borrowing” from the money I knew my parents would give me for Christmas and my own birthday, which is 2 days after hers.
Then I’d take my own “gift money” and put it back in the house account that I took it from to get her nice things.
But I didn’t care.
I wanted to her to have really decent materials to paint with, instead of WalMart generic paint and crappy brushes.
When she got macular degeneration, I bought her a pair of illuminated magnifying glasses to help her see so she could still paint and her dogs and family wouldn’t starve.
She knows my PTSD/heart and soul dog has osteosarcoma and that we’re broke as a joke, thanks to PedoJoe destroying everything, and trying to do as much as medically possible to extend his life, and despite her pimping fundraisers to her rich liberal friends on behalf of her liberal dog causes, she offered exactly *nothing* for my dog.
Not. One. Dime.
Didn’t even share his GiveSendGo thing with the thousands of liberals who are crazy wealthy and will throw lots of money at her causes just because she asks.
For my dog?
Zip. Zilch. Nada. Silence.
I’ve been betrayed by friends before but never as bad as this and honestly, I never expected it from *her* but there it is.
I must be really stupid.
I loved her enough to literally give away my own things so she would have what she needs.
I’m a poor judge of character and this really, REALLY hurts me, to this day.
I’m as loyal as my dogs but stupid about picking innately disloyal friends.
I never would have screwed her over and left her hanging over some damn politician.
I’m sorry for venting but it’s still a terrible wound in my heart and all this time later, she has not once even bothered to wonder why we’re not talking anymore.
I reckon she simply does not care.
I would really love to go see the huge fireworks displays we have locally but I can’t, in case somebody near the house sets off their own and my dog freaks out and panics and winds up with a pathological fracture to the tumor leg.
So I guess I’ll watch them on TV or something.
Maybe fireflies will be out.
Again, I’m sorry.
It’s hard to deal with my dog’s cancer without the one person I used to be able to share my troubles with.
I’m done with Democrats, completely.
They’re all evil.
Thank God for ALL of you here, because without you, I would stepped off the ledge a long time ago.

PS - use some white noise for the fireworks like a noisy fan, turn down lights to very dim. Might try a thundershirt if it’s really bad
Not too soon, I’m begging God.
Problem is, I’m not sure I’ll even survive losing him.
I’m not doing so hot, myself and even if I do, there’s the time lapse between him leaving me, finding a suitable dog and the training.
I’m getting too old and feeble for it, I fear.
His oncologist and vet techs tell me he’s “doing well” so I just pray he’ll be one of the Lucky Ones who have very long survival times...
I’m out in the mountains and I just jack up the TV as loud as it will go and he lays across my lap.
As long as I’m here, he’s okay with it.
Loud noises never bothered him until the day the neighbor decided to test fire his new black powder rifle 20 feet from from my living room and the window was open.
Scared the carp outta me AND the poor dog.

I have to use a noisy fan all night long - still a few pops going off at 5:am. Will be like this for a few nights then back to normal peace and quiet. This dog does pretty well - the last one (lost to cancer) was much more sensitive

last night I was getting out of the car in a slightly sketchy neighborhood because that’s where the store is and I paused, listening briefly and heard nothing.
Soon as I got out of the car, somebody set off a barrage of fireworks and I nearly hit the deck.
I thought it was a drive by in progress.
