I use them to pack Amazon return packages.
Feed the birds.
Feed the homeless (away from your abode).
Insulate your garage.
Burn them and run a generator.
If you soak them long enough, you can make a vaccine!

When I worked in Convention Services at a five-star resort, one of the banquet menu items was bread salad. Delicious!

Squish them flat, freeze them and save them to make breadcrumbs for meatloaf or meatballs.

The bun makers realized 30 years ago they could charge almost the same for 8 buns as they did 12 and removed the superfluous buns to match the packs of dogs. Haven’t seen anything bigger than an 8-pack in 30 years except at Costco or restaurant supply places.

Bread pudding’s good, but I remember once when friends of mine had a whole lot of leftover buns after a big party. They discovered that you could throw them at the TV as hard as you could, even after the buns had dried out completely, without breaking the picture tube. Plenty of fun, but also plenty of vacuuming.

One thing I have never understood, is why they can’t make uniform-sized hot dog rolls. Either the bottom of the bun is so thin, it bends when you pick it up, and/or falls apart as you eat it, or one end is narrower than the other. There is no such thing as a package of hot dog rolls that are all of equal size.

We take left over, stale bread to the bridge down the road ( using our golf cart) and feed the fish and turtles. Magnolias in blossom right now so a very enjoyable way to spend late afternoon.

Easy enough. I just use regular sandwich bread for my hot dogs. Buns are too thick and don’t usually taste all that good to me.

Why are you buying buns?
Making them is easy. And since they are not sliced until you do it they freeze nicely.
