I doubt this is a widespread phenomenon yet. But I did know an avid gardener some years ago who got an eye infection from working with garden soil and it precipitated his death (he was old).

My wife and I stopped at a rest stop in Indiana today, and I couldn’t believe how many losers were wearing masks. Even young and seemingly healthy people. The fear has captured a lot of people and I assume they are prepared to wear masks the rest of their lives.

Yes, soil-borne illnesses DO happen, but they’re so rare as to be non-starters.

This weeks ‘theme’ for the Garden Thread is, ‘Our Founding Gardeners.’ many of which were farmers in one way or another.
