A 10-year-old child abuse victim was forced to seek an abortion in Indiana after her home state of Ohio barred abortion following the Supreme Court decision to overturn of Roe v. Wade.
A child abuse doctor in Ohio sought the help of Dr. Caitlin Bernard, an Indianapolis obstetrician-gynecologist, on Monday to help the girl get an abortion after the state banned the procedure after six weeks - hours after the 6-3 Supreme Court vote, The Columbus Dispatch reported.
The child was six weeks and three days pregnant - therefore, ineligible by just three days to receive the procedure in her home state.
Abortion advocates in the state attempted to halt Ohio's six-week abortion ban, but the effort was denied by a judge on Friday.
As of Friday, Indiana's only abortion restriction is a law requiring clinics to ask women if their abortion is coerced - which is illegal, Fox 59 reported.
The law went into effect on July 1 and more restrictions might pass in the state following The Indiana General Assembly hearing on July 25.
'It's hard to imagine that in just a few short weeks we will have no ability to provide that care,' Bernard told The Columbus Dispatch.
Until then, abortion providers in Indiana say they have noticed the impact of the overturn of Roe, claiming they have seen an increase of patients coming from out of state to receive the procedure, according to The Columbus Dispatch.
The Women's Med, an Indiana abortion clinic that also has a center in Ohio, has received patients in need of an operation from their Ohio clinic.
Dr. Katie McHugh, an OBGYN in Indiana, has witnessed 'an insane amount of requests' from women in Ohio and Kentucky seeking an abortion.

I was speaking of your previous qualification that abortion could be justified because the babies would probably go to heaven. That was the rationale that could be applied to ALL murders. Just because a murder is committed under extreme or even criminal circumstances does not make it acceptable to compound the crime by slaughtering an innocent, defenseless human being with the rationale that the victim will probably go to heaven.
Clean result would be a shark tank like in Kim’s palace in team america
It might be true and it might not, but it has nothing to do with Roe v. Wade (the current abortion laws in Ohio have been in place since 2019). That makes the whole thing suspect.
And now, the rest of the story:
The other victim, the sacrificial victim, was forced to travel out of state as well, a trip of the same distance to be slaughtered on arrival at the same location.
I think its a made up story.....if true, where is the outrage over this child being impregnated.
“I was speaking of your previous qualification that abortion could be justified because the babies would probably go to heaven.”
That was not a “justification” and it was only intended as a paryerful hope that would, end the end, take care of them. “Probably” no. Prayerful hope, yes. Justification, no.
It’s also a foot in the door for abortion supporters. That’s what I meant by straw man argument. Next it becomes “the life of the mother,” and before you know it that includes “mental, emotional, and financial health” besides the physical health that was actually legislated. I’ve seen this show before.
In your original post you stated it as a point of fact, rather than a prayerful hope. Thanks for the clarification.
The crazy Jane group are anarchists; their goal has nothing to do with helping women or concern about rape, incest or anything like that. The issue is never the issue. They are instead trying to agitate people into rebellion in order that the whole system con be overthrown, giving these rejects a chance at getting into power they cannot get by using reason to persuade.
“It’s also a foot in the door for abortion supporters. That’s what I meant by straw man argument.”
It does not have to be, does not have to be allowed to be, if the strict two exceptions of rape and incest are held to.
Absolute - no alterntive - saving the Life of the mother during childbirth is already a frequent singular common exception when abortion is otherwise prohibited. Does the doctor save the baby or the mother when only one or the other is possible? That exception is old, common, and frequent when all other abortion options are prohibited.
The is extremely young to have been able to get pregnant. I know puberty has been moving younger, but 10? I am a skeptical.
Abortion factories are notorious for enabling child abuse by providing abortions and not reporting the child rape. So the rapist gets to continue the abuse.
Was Biden anywhere in the neighborhood? Biden is vile creature.
I would think that a pregnancy in a 10 year old is quite likely to be quite dangerous, and that the girl’s life is in danger. Second, the fact that a 10 year old girl is pregnant is proof that a statutory rape occurred. That’s 2 reasons an abortion would still be legal.
Quite possible they didn’t realize she was pregnant.
Girls are maturing earlier and faster, some as young as 8 are getting their periods, so yes this is quite possible.
It sounds like Ohio has.
LOL you are projecting SA Man. My view is based purely on practical matter such as can a child of age 10 withstand rigors of 9 months of pregnancy. I witnessed close and personal what my wife went through as an adult during her 2 pregnancies. No way a 10 year old girl can handle that safely or justifiably. Besides it was not the girl’s choice to get pregnant. It was sexual abuse according to the article.
You are the one who is acting emotional here, with knee jerk reaction against abortion, even if it involves a 10 year old child who is a victim of sexual abuse.
Actually I think some have
