In a news release, the police said its traffic safety division joined forces with its aviation unit for a speed control operation on Maryland Route 10, a 7-mile expressway that runs from Pasadena to near Glen Burnie.
From the sky, the aviation unit managed to observe multiple speeders going over 100 mph, including a Ford Mustang going 169 mph, police said.

A few years ago I was the only vehicle in sight on an interstate at 2 pm. I was doing 20 over when two crotch rockets blew past me at 120 or more.
And one was riding on only the rear wheel.

“Now the boys all thought I’d lost my sense
And telephone poles looked like a picket fence.”
Used to live near a new part of interstate by pass in Phoenix valley where the motorcycles would meet at 2:00 am to run it out to full speed. The noise would wake me up and I am hard of hearing.
Just a reminder, God gets out at 95....After that you are on your own.
Went to Jax yesterday to the lottery office...I-95 ...54 miles up...Saw so many left wing airheads sitting on the left lane while traffic passed by in the other two lanes, I clocked him at 67mph. Limit is 70...middle lane was doing 78 and right lane doing 70-75. Then everyone would get by that one and run like hell to the next LL Airhead. Even had a U Haul moving truck sitting in left lane where the sign says NO TRUCKS left lane doing right on 70? No concern for anyone else on the highway. People start weaving in and out of traffic and when one does it a lot more follow. What part of Keep right, Pass left do they not understand? The State police in PA have aerial enforcement all the time..unmarked car rides up and if the guy don’e move out of the lane he gets a ticket for obstructing traffic. We have zero enforcement on 95.
Part of why I read this thread was that I have four grandchildren that live within a few miles of this stretch of Hwy 10. Been over it many times.

Had a similar experience on the flight from LA to Boston. The pilot was so excited he made an announcement about the speed, saying he had never flown this fast before.

I had a relative that was a heavy in the G W Bush campaigns.
I mentioned FreeRepublic, the eyes lit up,surprising how much they knew about FR.
No loose lips and NEVER any details but an interesting explanation of working up in the organization, 2004 and some has probably changed since then.
If one was very good at having letters published in the papers and a strong internet presence, you could move up.
And if you could successfully manage volunteers... You might become a paid volunteer!
Not a pot of gold but might be something enjoyable for some?
Sorry to hear they had such horrible accidents.
