GMTA!
Repeatedly identifying the gun as legal and as registered is part of the gaslighting.
On Thursday, June 16, 2022, we were informed of the deaths of two former Hartford Public School students. This is an unfortunate and tragic incident, and we are deeply saddened by the loss of members of our Hartford Public Schools community. We are prepared to provide proper support and resources for students and staff affected by this tragedy. Our thoughts are with our former students’ families, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

That statement is the kind of mindless nonsense meant to brainwash people so they will excoriate the shooter who had every right to defend himself and his property from the thugs who are thankfully no longer a threat to the community.
FAFO
This type of home invasion goes on all the time. But because it's CT, few homeowners are armed.
Are these some of the idgits calling to burn down rural areas because they’re defenseless I wonder?
Tragic events like this happen when the homeowner’s sign, “This home protected by Smith & Wesson” is written in cursive.
The gun was registered to the resident and he is cooperating with police, officials said.
where the homeowner was a legal owner of the firearm
The gun used in the shooting was registered to the homeowner, who is cooperating with authorities, WTIC reported.
April McAbee seems unduely concerned that her readers understand that the firearm used in home defense was legal - almost as much as the other facts of the story - when in fact the weapon's legal status has no bearing on the story. She has an obsession.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Connecticut law does not require registration of firearms, but all sales must go through federal firearms license holders.
The state is listed as "may issue" but about 10% of adults have a carry license.
A greater truth has never been spoken. #save the thugs
Boy Howdy, April McAbee sure tried her damnedest to indict the ARMED homeowner.
I counted five references to the ARMED homeowner in a very short story.
I’m guessing that there will be fewer home invasions for a while.
No doubt; either Anchor Babies/Illegals, or transported-at-taxpayer-expense invaders.
2 less Illegals brought to you by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce cheap labor express payoffs, now down. Only 20 million to go.
Estupido/estupida
Tonto=fool
You’d think between the two Isaiah’s at least one of them would have prophesized this would happen to them.
Can see some future event, but cannot do anything to stop it...
I wonder if the home invaders were legal.
So, I guess what we know from this story is that the resident “legally” owned the firearm that was used to protect himself and his home. And that the school mourns the loss of their students.
Are we to assume that had the firearm not been “legally registered” by the homeowner, that he would be facing charges for protecting himself from the two “suspects?” And, of course, killing the two “suspects” wasn’t justified because it was just a house and an assault.
It wasn’t like they were doing anything bad . . .
Makes you wonder how April McAbee would feel about having her home invaded by a couple of teen thugs.
Muerta.
I wonder if the left are calling this a “mostly peaceful self defence case”?
