Thousands of pro-abortion protesters gathered outside Philadelphia’s City Hall on Friday night after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
The pro-abortion activists reportedly gathered at Philadelphia’s City Hall and marched towards Independence Hall and back to show their frustration with the Supreme Court’s decision.
Some protesters held signs that read “my body, my choice,” while others sang, “we want justice.”
One protester criticized congressional Democrats for not taking action to codify Roe into law before the Court overturned it.
“They’ve had 50 years to codify it into a real law versus just a Supreme Court decision,” one protester told local CBS News.
Some potions of the crowd reportedly chanted “no justice, no peace,” according to a video taken from the protest.

That was the problem with Roe. It really wouldn’t hold up, Constitutionally, to serious scrutiny. The left was better off letting that particular sleeping dog lie.

Seems a lot of people like their law with federal overreach. I’ve been living in a Red Flag State for years.
Pro-abortion people have to be incredibly stupid. Overturning Roe does NOTHING for or against women in Pennsylvania and in most states.
But the pro abortion folks know they CANNOT WIN in the ballot box so they had to hang on Roe, a bad ruling which makes zero sense in today’s society.
I don’t give a crap if women kill their kids, just don’t use my tax dollars to fund it. Not a damn dime.
Psst, don’t tell them abortion is still legal in PA.

We were willing to meet them half-way, post-Roe. Our side only wanted an end to partial-birth abortions, no taxpayer funding, no minors across state lines, and a 15-20 week limit.
3 events really kicked our resolve into high gear and said to Hell with a compromise:
- Kermit Gosnell
- Gov. Ralph Northam (KKK-VA) saying live babies should be made comfortable while deciding if they should live or die
- NY State's out-and-out infanticide on abortion with no restrictions
