Please remember all women who were duped into thinking that their pregnancy was just a "clump of cells" and not a human baby and went on to have an abortion since it was freely available under Roe v Wade.
Please don't believe that all women who had abortions are hoes, especially in the early days. Many women believed the propaganda and succumbed to it, only to regret it later.
“Their repentance is real. But they can’t get their babies back.”
I can’t even imagine the lifetime torture these women must experience after making a conscious decision to abort a baby. When one of my cats dies I feel guilty for years that maybe there was more I could’ve done to lethim live longer.
And that’s a cat, not a person. And not a conscious decision. How are they not suicidal?
Yes, we ought to pray for them always. We ought to pray that they come to understand the true source of their distress and thus are led to begin the process of repentance which will allow them to enter the Kingdom of God eventually.
Agree.
“but I do believe many were duped into believing that abortion was consequence-free and were surprised at the guilt and sorrow they experienced after they killed their babies.”
Because of the culture of Roe v Wade, it’s probably underreported.
We will never know that statistic, unfortunately.
‘I agree. They weren’t duped. They knew exactly what they were doing. Many forms of birth control were available, including abstainance. Convenient abortions were just an extension of “if it feels good, do it”.
SMH. Yeah. All women who had abortions under Roe said “if it feels good, do it” and aborted clumps of tissue, as they were told it was at the time. Yep,
I see what you did there. LOL.
You did luck out!
I didn’t think anyone would catch that lol.
I do not believe minors should be held culpable for abortions their parents forced them into. They do not have free agency and the pressure is severe.
Raised by a feminist mom as well and had no compunction about abortion until I was born again. So grateful to have escaped that horror.
They can pray for themselves if they are truly repentant.
I pray for the murdered children.
They are the true victims. Reddy talked about women being duped. I don't believe it. I think they used the "clump of cells" excuse to get rid of their babies, so they wouldn't feel guilty about it. By dehumanizing the fetus, they duped themselves. Life begins when sperm meets egg. Cells divide, but they're not pollywog cells. They are human cells, and trying to describe it as anything else is a cop-out. My first son was born out-of-wedlock in 1966. I can't imagine my life without him in it. He was the apple of his grandparents eyes, and I am so grateful that he was able to know them. My grandparents all died before I was born, and I always felt that I had missed out on a lot by not having known them.
My older sister had an abortion back in the day (she was an alcoholic, the doctors said the baby would probably die anyway. But she had a lot of guilt over that, and gave her another excuse to keep drinking.
She would call (drunk) and sooner or later would be crying and moaning that she was going to hell, God couldn’t forgive her, especially for killing her baby, etc.
Finally, during a short stint in prison for DUI, she accepted God truly. It was amazing to see her transformation. Gone was the guilt and the fear of going to hell, but knowing that God was guiding her and with her - even on her death bed.
Had a discussion with my granddaughter today. She’d heard on the radio that Physicians would be prevented from learning how to perform a number of health treatments such as a D&C, and that women would be denied birth control among other things.
I tried to explain to her that she was hearing lies, and that in reality, this was an issue of states rights.
I also tried to inform her that when the plan “B” pill was made available, there was discussion that the need to keep traditional abortions available would be decreased. THAT is what finally hit home.
She had no idea that an unborn baby was a human being, or that abortion fell into the murder category.
I once knew a lady who thought that the baby became a baby as it was coming down the birth canal.
Back in the day, when women wanted abortions which weren’t permitted in the state she lived in, she would simply go to a state that did.
Unfortunately, this is a topic guided by strong emotions rather than by logic. It’s amazing how many people don’t know the difference. And it’s heartbreakingly sad how folks don’t know how to discern truth.
I’m grateful for the SC decision today. I hope it travels into areas where the Federal government is out of line in demanding control over the states.
There are many who were lied to and duped by these charlatans
Agreed. We are called to show mercy, compassion and forgiveness.
And 50 years after Roe v. Wade, they're still being lied to, but that doesn't mean you have to believe it. Gullible and stupid is no way to go through life. Grasping for any excuse to justify murdering your baby is not being duped or lied to. Victims my ass. It's no different than the morons who couldn't get the jabs, or the boosters fast enough. What's so hard about taking a step back to search for the true facts, instead of running head-on into a wall, simply because someone told you, you should? If people are too stupid to use common sense, think for themselves instead of relying on someone else to tell them what to think, and look for the truth, then it's on them. Those kind of people never wake up. I prefer praying for people who truly deserve the Lord's help.
I pray for them all.
