I thought Blazing Saddles was pretty woke. It had the smart black hero and stupid and evil whites theme going. Then only thing that wasn’t woke was the dancing homosexuals scene.

I’ve always wondered what exactly does woke mean? It comes across as though those who are not woke are asleep still.
In the Matrix that would be the blue pill and the woke would be red pilled. Seems backwards in a way?
