Now they're fighting in PA.
My problem w/ Wawa in FL is that they go into ghetto areas b/c it's cheaper. No Wawa in Jupiter after all these years of development b/c they don't want to pay for premium real estate.
WaWa is as woke woke as it gets.
I thought that about Wa and Sheetz too.
The headquarters, Wawa University and the first ever Wawa are within 10 miles of me in the Philly burbs.
Between Sheetz, Turkey Hill, and Royal Farms, it won’t be easy…
They sell ethanol free gas so I’d like to see them here in Kentucky. We have too few stations that sell real gas.
Where I live there’s a Sheetz about 1.5 miles south of a Wawa on the same road.
My tank was half empty so I topped it off at WaWa four days ago. My MPG is up 4 mpg. I don’t get it. Yes my car has a current mpg readout. I went from 27.5 to 32.1
I welcome the competition to the mid state just based on the principle that competition is good. I really don’t frequent convenience stores other than picking up an occasional quart of milk or fill up on gas. I grew up around Philadelphia as a kid, long before Wawa stores were anything more than very basic. Some people say their hoagies are good. I can’t imagine buying a hoagie at anywhere other than my old neighborhood deli tho.
Wawa? Sheetz?
Welcome to Idiocracy
I like Sheetz sandwiches... at least I did 25 years ago.
No locations for either store in western NC or all of SC.
We got lots of Wawas down here in South Florida. Oh, and I got a couple of Wawa T-shirts.
I walked into a WaWa recently here in Florida.
Their pricing seemed geared to making bean counters happy.
I assume people like their food prepared to order since it seemed the only possible reason to like WaWa, as their gas was priced within the going rates.
I remember standing at an intersection in Tucson in the ‘70s and counting seven Circle-Ks. Of course you could see pretty far in that flat land.
Wawa has no competition near me — the Seven Elevens are pigsties, and there are no Sheetz to be seen. A candy bar is $2.50. Pretty much only go there at night, after 9pm and before 6am.
Thirty years ago, the sandwiches were a loss leader, and were great, now they are cheap on the meat, and use garbage rolls. I never buy pizza or sandwiches at any sort of chain — there are too many really good independents.
