I read, don't remember where, that most of the citrulline is in the rind part of the melon, and in the pink part near the rind.

L-Citrulline (found in watermelon)

Somewhere I recall seeing a Texas A&M study of watermelon to see if the L-Citrulline could be a natural source of the active ingredient in a well-known blue pill.
