Ain’t that the truth! Life’s finest moments are in a dimly lit lounge with some great Brubeck, attractive company, a fine Macanudo and double Beefeater martinis! Unfortunately, politicians have pretty much killed off this most civilized of scenarios.

Wife and I were fortunate enough to travel to the UK in April, and visited Dartmoor and Plymouth. We toured the Plymouth Gin distillery, and finished up the tour at The Refectory Bar. We tried a couple of other locally distilled Dartmoor gins, and they were all very good. I guess it's the Dartmoor water.
