The internet went into overdrive on Saturday after Joe Biden was filmed falling off his bike in front of a crowd of reporters.
The moment inspired a flurry of memes and jokes at the 79-year-old president's expense. Biden was not injured in the tumble, aside than perhaps his pride.
Donald Trump Jr., called the flub 'a perfect metaphor for the current state of our country'.
'Down goes Biden,' another Twitter user shared.
Former Buzzfeed journalist Benny Johnson ,posted a tweet that showed the president riding his bike - with a pair of pink training wheels photoshopped on.
'Biden right back out on his bike after his collapse this morning.' Johnson wrote.
Biden, 79, took the tumble during a morning ride in Rehoboth Beach at around 9:30am, while attempting to stop and say hello to a crowd that had converged on the Gordon's Pond State Park bike trail.
Pulling up to dismount the bike, the president suddenly fell over sideways, footage shows, causing a mad scramble of Secret Service and press to help him up.
Footage of the flub has since sent social media into a frenzy - the internet characteristically quick to react with a relentless onslaught of memes.
One Twitter user labeled Biden 'The Economy' as he crashed to the ground - an apparent jab at the financial woes experienced by the country under Biden's leadership.
Another user shared an image of Biden superimposed on a child's bike - as they suggested he might be more comfortable with training wheels.
One tweet compared Biden's tumble to the elderly person falling in the old commercial for Life-Alert which has the famous line 'Help, I've fallen and I can't get up.

Similar to when Dick Cheney accidentally fired rounds at his friend when they were hunting and the Bush Admin not doing well.

The fact that the press were there tells you the whole thing was staged with the intent of showing pedo-joe in a chance meeting with adoring fans.

If Biden had any pride, he sure wouldn’t allow his handlers treat him the way that they do. I have seen him walk, and he walks like a VERY frail 80 year old. No way should he be riding a two wheeler.

At the time Cheney accidentally shot his attorney friend, I lived in California and worked with a bunch of liberals that were having a field day and talking to me about gun control. So I told them the judge fined Cheney $100 because he only injured the lawyer. Our in house lawyer got a big kick out of that.
