Or you can put on a safety vest and a hardhat and look like an expert. (Of course many experts are also idiots...).

This works too..lol

It all works towards the ultimate goal of being ungovernable.

Commercial use vs personal use makes a big difference. I’m in rural flyover country so I can pretty much do whatever I want.

Looks like no registration is required for this drone, meaning it does not have to be labeled with the registration number.

https://www.faa.gov/uas/getting_started/register_drone

“All drones must be registered, except those that weigh 0.55 pounds or less (less than 250 grams) and are flown exclusively under the Exception for Recreational Flyers.”

We wouldn’t HAVE no stinking regulations if it weren’t for irresponsible idiots flying quads. Completely ruined the fixed-wing RC hobby I used to enjoy.

I fly a DJI mini 2 all the time.

Leave the prop guards off and youll stay under the weight limit.

No need to register.

Stay under 400’ AGL.

Don’t fly near airports. Don’t take off or land from federal property.

While not illegal don’t fly low enough over homes or people to be heard or presumed to be a voyeur.

Don’t fly over busy roads.

You can fly over your own property at any altitudes under 400’ AGL.

A Drone is great for roof surveys and even timber surveys. You can inspect roofs, eaves chimneys, gables etc. Friends love pics of their homes.

Drones are great for taking group photos.

On and on.

Be polite. Use your head. Don’t break 400’. You’ll be fine.

If you get serious there’s tons of online support for passing your FAA part 170.

AGL = Above Ground Level.
Please spell out acronyms at least once when talking to newbies.
I am one.

Fair.

But if you are going to pilot a Drone, you need to know a modicum of the lingo.

Also learn to use ‘return to home’ feature. Little drones are hard to spot above 100’ or so and you may get disoriented. That feature will save your investment and your prude.

If your Drone is a DJI, the tutorials built into the DJI Fly are quite good.
