After lying for months, the media are preparing the public for Ukraine’s military collapse. It is long overdue.
The Western media did everything in its power to give the Ukrainian defense the appearance of far greater strength than it really possessed.
Russian errors were exaggerated out of all proportion to their significance. Russian losses and the true extent of Ukraine’s own losses were distorted, fabricated, or simply ignored. But conditions on the battlefield changed little over time. Once Ukrainian forces immobilized themselves in static defensive positions inside urban areas and the central Donbas, the Ukrainian position was hopeless. But this development was portrayed as failure by the Russians to gain “their objectives.”
Ground-combat forces that immobilize soldiers in prepared defenses will be identified, targeted, and destroyed from a distance. When persistent overhead intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance assets, whether manned or unmanned, are linked to precision guided-strike weapons or modern artillery systems informed by accurate targeting data, “holding ground” is fatal to any ground force.
This is all the more true in Ukraine, because it was apparent from the first action that Moscow focused on the destruction of Ukrainian forces, not on the occupation of cities or the capture of Ukrainian territory west of the Dnieper River.
The result has been the piecemeal annihilation of Ukrainian forces. Only the episodic infusion of U.S. and allied weapons kept Kiev’s battered legions in the field; legions that are now dying in great numbers thanks to Washington’s proxy war.

But the original is poorly posted, not real text displayed.
Yes, that’s why his came first despite the fact that we were both working on it at the same time. Cut and paste takes time...:-) I checked first and I am sure he did, too.
But, I have been reading all the responses on both threads.
The truth can be brutal and easily dismissed.
“The truth can be brutal and easily dismissed.”
That’s why, given a choice, I prefer fact over truth: Fact cannot be dismissed, only ignored.
Not complaining. Just saying your’s was better posted. The other so brief it will draw less attention.
I like his ‘’illegal immigration’’ policy.
Yeah, I am growing skeptical of him.
Ditto your thoughts on the Russians.
Douglas MacGregor live-action role plays as an opponent of China, while constantly shilling for its allies Russia and Iran. Is this senility or bribery?
MacGregor is an excellent military analysist with total allegiance to the United States.. He provides his honest opinion based on his storied career. He was very valued by Trump.
Unfortunately there are a lot of people who don’t want honesty; they want to be comforted even if what they are hearing is untrue. Of course, the kind of analysts who are willing to do that for a big paycheck like General Keane are dangerous to America’s interest.
Keane has misled Fox viewers for 3 months now. Tucker Carlson chooses MacGregor instead for his program to report about Ukraine because he wants to hear the truth.
Are you suggesting that i post a list of McGregor lies ever time, Tucker lets him on?
That don't look like a Ukrainian collapse -- looks like a Russian collapse
Russian advances are all in pink. Initially, Russia claimed most of the Ukrainian northern border. By April 24, Russia has lost nearly all of it.
Patton had one of the world’s strongest armies at that time, and his side was getting stronger while the opposition was getting weaker.
The Russians started this war as hands-down “they’re going to win” - like the US basketball dream team of the 1990s facing off against a Manila high school team.
But the Russians lost. And lost badly.
However, the Ukrainians don’t have enough to attack further. They did a great job defending. Now they need artillery to push the Putinistas out of the Donbas
It seems apparent that Russia is seeking to landlock Ukraine.
These maps are good—but they don’t show what you think they show.
I leave it as an exercise for you to figure out what is actually happening here—it will take a little work, and the Western mass media propaganda is not going to help you at all.
Yes, but having lost the Slava/Moskva, Russia has no ability to invade Odessa
“Yes, but having lost the Slava/Moskva, Russia has no ability to invade Odessa.”
Sure it does. It can just move west on the ground, along the coast, to assail Odessa. There are several land routes Russia Russia could employ given the time and the means, unless it is stopped before that.
“Ukraine is pushing the Russians back in the Southwest.”
I’m glad to hear that, if true. Russia needs to pack up and go back home. Its invasion of Ukraine was wholly unjustified. If China had invaded Russia under the same flimsy pretexts I’d be supporting Russia.
