I encourage you all to write the CEO of Walmart (doug.mcmcmillon@walmart.com). I sent a copy to Mr. Lindell (fishsnager@yahoo.com) as well. I realize many of us are not going to be able to avoid spending money at Walmart; but, we can sure quit spending some of it there! Here is my email to the CEO of Walmart:
Dear Mr. McMillon,
I would like to remind you: "There is only one boss. The customer. And he can fire everybody in the company from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money somewhere else." - Sam Walton.
By making a political "woke" decision you have alienated the majority of your customer base. Your own demographics show that base to be majority conservative. You've made these decisions before based on your political philosophy rather than what is good for your business and good for your customers. This time you've made a really bad one. Your job is to sell good products for a fair price, not to sift through the politics of your vendors to see if they agree with you or not.
My Pillow makes quality products at a good price. Yes, I know, you have left it on your website store. That's not enough. Mr. Walton also said, "Exceed your customer's expectations. If you do, they'll come back over and over. Give them what they want - and a little more." A good manager also admits when they have made a poor decision. Reverse course and quickly.
I will not be buying any Walmart products that compete with Mr. Lindell's. No more towels, blankets, jammies, slippers, pillows, or any other item in his catalog. And I will be actively working to convince others to do the same.
I have shopped at Walmart since Mr. Walton started his business in Arkansas. He would not approve.
“I cannot ascertain a fact from an anecdote, again with all due respect; they are merely claims until I get to see proof. And by the tone you used, I merely was unconvinced.”
They are verifiable facts, not anecdotes. No others come even close to COSTCO’s return policy.
Another anecdote.
I judge Costco by their actions with respect to criticism of BLM, to which you cast a red herring in reply.
“I cannot ascertain a fact from an anecdote, “
A fact can be verified objectively by independent sources. COSTCO’s return policy is stated on their website.
Irrelevant to my point, and policies are subject to change at whim.
Ready to play “last word” game? 😆
“Irrelevant to my point”
Totally relevant.
“and policies are subject to change at whim.”
Totally irrelevant.
From bannon’s site- got the firmer one, and it just is too firm- hurts my neck and ear if i lay with head to the side- the nest pillow i foudn for me is solid memory foam one- but it is hot i n summer-
thanks for that recommendation- We don’t like walmart- but aroudn us there isn’t much to choose from for basic stuff with shipping- I’m still using hte pillow- but it’s really not comfortable for me- i will probably go back to one piece memory foam pillow-
Don’t the people at WalMart read the news? Other companies have suffered from their abandonment of a product owned by a conservative.
Walmart according to Mike Lindell was selling $40 million or more of MyPillow products. This was political. Companies that do this end up losing much more.
I remember the tv show “Last Man Standing” was cancelled at ABC and it was the #2 show among 3 networks. The woman who did the cancelling went to Netflix.
Tim Allen restarted the show on another network for several more years. The only thing that stopped the show later was the chinese virus.
We recently did a family beach house weekend and I wish that I had taken mine with me. Won’t make that mistake again! LOL
Lol, now proof by assertion. Got lost on the way to DU? 😆 Have a nice day . . .
