The Dems: 'When Will They Ever Learn?'
American Thinker ^ | 18 Jun, 2022 | Deane Waldman

Democrats seem unable or unwilling to learn that We No Longer Trust Them.

In 1955, Pete Seeger released the iconic song, "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?," which railed against the Vietnam War. A line frequently reprised in the song resonates with today's Democrat party: "When will they ever learn?"

Progressive Democrats are currently in positions of authority in the White House, halls of Congress, federal agencies, school systems, large corporations, and the legacy media. Using a fabricated COVID crisis as a bludgeon, progressives justified an unconstitutional power-grab with statements we know were and are lies. Nonetheless, they expect Americans to continue accepting their anti-scientific advisories, coercive activities, and unlawful orders (mandates) meekly, even gratefully. After all, that is what happened in 2021.

Democrats seem unable or unwilling to learn that We No Longer Trust Them. The public has learned that they are flimflam con artists. What have Democrats learned? Apparently, nothing.

A recently reported action by the CDC exemplifies Democrat failure to learn. The CDC is the ex-trustworthy agency that falsified COVID data; altered its definitions, predictions, and pandemic metrics; and issued contradictory, non-medical recommendations.

"When will they ever learn" — the CDC, that is — that their behavior destroyed their credibility with the public? Evidently never, as now the CDC wants to create a permanent crisis response to COVID wherever it might be detected, with a return to masking and lockdowns. Americans have learned, but, apparently, the CDC has not: "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."

The left seems to trust them, but they instinctively trust lies and just as instinctively reject truth.

I doubt they will ever learn as long as they automatically get a floor of 45% of the vote.

If their floor ever dips below 40%, they may change their ways. The problem is that half their base are certified lunatics.

They don’t care if they are trusted or not. They have accumulated the power....that was their goal. “Progressive Democrats are currently in positions of authority in the White House, halls of Congress, federal agencies, school systems, large corporations, and the legacy media”

It is called Tyranny....not a mistake that they will learn from.

They don’t need to learn anything. They know exactly what they’re doing. This isn’t a matter of incompetence, it’s a matter of malice.

They don’t care if we trust them anymore. They’ve moved on to threats, mandates, strong arming and force.

It high time people woke up and realized that.....problem is, many people don’t believe it.

The frog in the the pot is a great analogy for this.

“When will they ever learn?”

If as I suspect, the Progressives are able, by hook or by crook to remain in control of either or both houses of congress this November, they will never learn. At least in this lifetime.

The time line doesn’t add up.

Thank you for that. Does anyone think that the government of China cares whether the people trust them, or not? They are busy setting up that system of government, here.

I looked that up too. It seems that there was a vote in congress during that time. I think Pete Seeger was also a supporter of communism so he must have opposed attempts to stop the spread.

Timeliness doesn’t add up here, either:

“The Biden administration promised that its approach to COVID “followed the science,” “would flatten the curve,” would “stop this virus in two weeks,” and that lockdowns would be necessary for four to six weeks.”

Biden?

In 1955, Pete Seeger released the iconic song, "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?," which railed against the Vietnam War.

Given that the Battle of Dien Bien Phu was only fought in the previous year of 1954 between the French Colonial forces and the Viet Minh, this sentence is a bit of mis-history! Better to say that "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?" became a Vietnam War protest song in the 1960s.

As for the 'D'onkey Party and learning from history, we NEED TO REALIZE that they have 'learned' and are convinced that what setbacks they may have are minor in comparison to past and future accomplishments! Take this aforementioned Vietnam War as an example. If you ask almost any 'average person' on the street about who was responsible for the Vietnam War, I fear that most would reply President Nixon & the GOP. So the fact that it was JFK & LBJ that buried us into it has been swept from the common memory!

As for more recent history, the 'D'onkey Party has gone from success to success with only the briefest of hiatuses. The Clintons, despite their frequent law-breaks, lies and misconduct, remain respecte'D' and untouched by the LEFT. Ditto with the 'D'ominated SWAMP and its cohorts in the EneMedia, PopCulture, Academia and the intelligensia!

So, as I look at it, the 'D'onkey Party has yet to be humbled or caused to need retrospection. They are proudly progressive towards a utopia that the rest of see as a 'D'isaster and 'D'istopia!

How come these writers constantly blame the left/rats for these predicaments and the mess we’re in now and no mention of the do-nothing republicans that brought them to the big dance all this time?

Do they not know that the GOPe has enabled them every step of the way, particularly the last generation?

Did the last $30,000,000,000,000 in debt get there by itself?

Are they clueless as to why the dems control all branches of the goobermint? Do they know that your basic conservatives quit supporting the RINOs long ago? The latest antics by Cornyn is a perfect example, I can hear you all the way up here! ;-)
