A quiet sunny summer's day in the suburbs became the setting for the dramatic climax of a police chase this past Wednesday afternoon.
A video, which came via a Ring doorbell camera, shows a black SUV turning a corner and then flipping over twice as it hurtles to the front yard of a home in Rochester, New York.
Multiple police vehicles speed toward the crashed vehicle with sirens blaring.
Shortly after the police show up, two suspects emerge simultaneously from the car, breaking through the shattered windscreen, before trying to flee the scene.
According to a statement from the Rochester Police Department, the two men are convicted felons Javar Marshall, 21, and Nasir Schifano, 19.
They're said to have had two guns in the car with them at the time of the smash, despite being barred from owning weapons because of previous, undisclosed, felony offenses.
One of the men is tackled by a uniformed police officer while the other runs out of the picture while being pursued by several cops.
The officers in the video are shown with their guns drawn while a canine unit can also be seen.
At the time of writing, a Twitter version of the video has been viewed 4.3 million times.

Best argument for stronger gun control ever: “despite being barred from owning weapons because of previous, undisclosed, felony offenses.”
Exactly, nice explanation of the gun control issue……
Looks like SUV violence.
The city is almost totally run by blacks now. When I drive through the City, I roll up my windows in the hope I might deflect a bullet.
Good luck w that. Todays ballistics will go through windows like hot knife through butter.
It was the best they could afford were able to steal.
It IS New York...those youths will definitely get a stern talking-to.
Too bad the scum bags survived. This is a prime example of why so called gun laws don’t work.

Yes, and Hochul is going to pass even more laws forcing criminals to stop criminalling, because laws!
So, like, effective!
I also liked the part where the K9 officer walked the dog over between his legs, restraining it by the collar. Bet the dog wanted to take care of business.
.
That video was something else. Ten or more cops converge on two perps crawling from the wreckage, and the cops STILL have to chase them down. Did the crooks think they would get away?
Bello city pavement apes
