CHICAGO (CBS) -- Dozens of protesters shut down an intersection near Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot's home Saturday, demanding she take action to stop residents from being displaced by the future Obama Presidential Center.
Protesters say they are being priced out of their homes as developers snatch up property near Jackson Park.
They say the mayor promised to set aside lots for affordable housing, but so far she has not made good on that bargain.

Beetlejuice is under sustained attack from all sides, and rightfully so.
Yet, it will be re-elected in a landslide.

Isn’t Beetlejuice better looking?
Similar affordable housing units (a.k.a. “projects”) should be constructed in Martha’s Vineyard near the obama estate as well as in places like the Hamptons and Malibu Beach, Ca. in the interest of “fairness” so that the poor can live near the beach, just like the latte leftists that claim to be “champions” of the poor and downtrodden.

Protesters got together - see, Barry is still a ‘community organizer’. Not that he gives a DemoRat’s ash about how his lieBarry is causing such angst around the local residents. Then again they voted for him so there’s that ROI gift that keeps taking.
“Protesters demand mayor set aside affordable housing near Obama Center”
Why not IN the Obama Center?
Call someone on your Obama phone. Housing is more expensive. Get a house boat
Obama may not want housing projects next to his mansions but will gleefully accept a gay bathhouse resort. He would be the first member. /spit
Or, simply convert the Obama center to a homeless/bum camp. Move the worthless trash into it — freeing up other public land for actual housing. Win/win.
