Anderson High School in Indiana just voted to keep their Indian mascot (There’s no law to remove them in INDIANA - but there had been social justice pressure to do so) - the reason being that Anderson Indiana is named to honor an indian chief and the mascot is that indian chief so removing the ‘mascot’ is actually a dishonor to the point of naming the town.
The report at the link is woefully short on details. It’s tells of consequences of defying a law, but no context offering insight as to why the law was passed. And it provides nothing on legal efforts to fight the law other than lawlessness, which seems quite odd.
It’s like the woke efforts are a natural process and not the contrived one we expect it to have been.
It’s a part and parcel of the world Orwell warned us of — no roots for any people leaves people adrift and ripe for the picking by totalitarian power.
