George Washington University drops Colonials moniker, officials say name fails to 'match the values of GW'

George Washington University’s sports teams will no longer be known as the Colonials.
The school said in an announcement Wednesday the school’s board of trustees and a special committee determined the name Colonials "can no longer serve its purpose as a name that unifies."

The hypocrites need to then change the name of the school because George Washington was a Colonial.

Anaheim High School in Anaheim, Calif. is the home of the Colonists--so named because Anaheim grew out of a colony of immigrants from Silesia.
The name came under fire as "racist," but late last year, the school board voted to keep it. However, the logo, a seventeenth-century militia man carrying a musket (aka a white guy with a gun) is to be dropped, which will cost the district between $40,000 and $60,000.
