I've become calloused to the whole thing. People died of various things before COVID and people die of various things post-COVID. I'm not going to torment myself wondering "what if" we kept lockdowns going longer or continued to make people wear (useless) face masks forever and ever.
You keep yourself healthy as possible, get out in the world and live your life to the fullest. Eventually you will be dead even if you huddle 24/7 in your house triple-masked and triple-vaxxed. None of us will escape.

I have learned that medical facility masks mandated by the CDC are required on a county by county basis.
On May 1, the requirement for masks in medical facilities was lifted for our county because of Covid cases below some limit.
Absent some other restrictions, it seems your county can have the requirement lifted when covid cases get below the threshold requirement

Not to get too far off into the technical weeds here but SARS-CoV-2 does not behave like Middle East Respiratory Virus or the original SARS.
SARS-CoV-2 stimulates transposable elements (human endogenous retroviruses and long interspersed element-1) in ways related viruses do not.
Transposable elements have been associated with some disease states.
If this virus was engineered, and it certainly looks possible, whoever did it came up with one h$ll of a weapon.

I subscribe to the belief that masks are ineffective in preventing the spread of Covid.
Not ineffective but not used properly. Our contact tracing pointed out that people used masks when they didn’t need them (stores, etc) and didn’t use them when they needed to use them (close confines with people)
Masks became simply a virtue signal
The clot shot implications include all sorts of issues up to and including death—and are often being buried under the “long Covid” cover.
