OK, a 17th winner joined the EGOT list last night when A Strange Loop won for Best Musical. Here is the completel list, in order of achieving EGOT: Richard Rodgers (1962) Helen Hayes (1977) Rita Moreno (1977) Sir John Gielgud (1991) Audrey Hepburn (1993) (posthumously) Marvin Hamlisch (1995) Jonathan Tunick (1997) Mel Brooks (2001) Mike Nichols (2001) Whoopi Goldberg (2002) Scott Rudin (2012) Robert Lopez (2013) Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber (2018)* Tim Rice (2018)* John Legend (2018)* Alan Mencken (2020) Jennifer Hudson (2022) (won last night as a producer of A Strange Loop) Teh following have all four but are not technically considered EGOT winners because one of the awards is honorary: Barbra Streisand (1970) (Special Tony Award) Liza Minnelli (1973) (Grammy Legend Award) James EArl Jones (2011) (Oscar Honorary Award) Harry Belafonte (2014) (Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award -- Oscar) Quincy Jones (2016) (Jean Herholt Humanitarian Award)

James Earl Jones, Barbra Streisand, Harry Belafonte, and Quincy Jones have the four awards, but in each case, one was honorary, rather than competitive.
Surprising to see John Legend, Alan Menken, and the unknown Robert Lopez have all four. Maybe getting a Daytime Emmy shouldn’t count.

Lopez is a composer and sometime lyricist. He worked on
The Book of Mormon, , and others . He often writes with his lyricist wife, Kristen Anderson-Lopez.
He co-wrote four songs for the TV series Scrubs.
The Book of Mormon earned him Tonys for Best Musical, Best Original Score, and Best Book of a Musical in 2011, as well as a Grammy for the cast album.
He won an Emmy for his work on The Wonder Pets.
