Justin Bieber has revealed that he has suffered temporary facial paralysis from Ramsay Hunt syndrome just days after being forced to cancel dates on his Justice World Tour.

The 28-year-old pop star took to his Instagram on Friday to share a three-minute video explaining the diagnosis which is a complication of shingles that can lead to facial paralysis.

According to the Mayo Clinic, the hearing loss and facial paralysis associated with Ramsay Hunt syndrome is temporary, however, can become permanent.

Justin's right eye was unable to blink and the right side of his face did not move as he began the video saying: 'Hey everyone Justin here, I wanted to update you guys on what's been going on.

I know how what he’s going through. Same thing happens to me when I can’t afford the latest hyper car. I get this pissed off look on my face and it stays there until I see a hyper car in my 10 car garage. What a coincidence.

He’s worth $200 million.

I hope he gets better. I would have died if I had his fame and money at 16.

The alternative is a 28-year-old with shingles? Something doesn’t sound right.

Fascinating how the hi-brows will call it anything except what it is. Those markers are right at the top of the clotshot side effect list. Once the micro clots start the best he can hope for is slow damage. It’s most likely all downhill from here for he/she/it.

this could be the more palatable explanation to cover what might have happened...or...he really could have it.

There has some interesting gossip about someone north of the border freaked out that he had gotten monkey pox.

It has been circulating for a few weeks.

Bieber might be the celebrity it was referencing.

A couple more booster shots should clear that right up.

This is why I refused the booster and got fired.

After being jabbed, people are breaking out with shingles - doctors have been seeing a huge uptick in shingles. It is caused by the reactivation of the varicella-zoster virus (VZV), the same virus that causes varicella (chickenpox).

Prior to the COVID shots, when a person’s immunity is low, shingles is more likely to occur. Now the shots have added another reason for a suppressed immune system, thus shingles.

“The reasons why VZV reactivates and causes herpes zoster are not well understood. However, a person’s risk for herpes zoster increases as their VZV-specific cell-mediated immunity declines. This decline in immunity can result from increasing age as well as from medical conditions or medications that suppress a person’s immune system.”

That was the consensus of the site I peruse.

Shingles? My nephew had them when he was 43...BAD. My niece, his sister, had them when she was just under 40 years old.

All my siblings had them..evey one of them. Except for me. I never caught the chicken pox, or the measles.

Why? I do not know. But I got something out of all of it. COPD that developed from chronic lifetime asthma

Bell’s, Hunt’s, caused by shingles, regardless, a couple of months after his wife goes to the hospital with a clot, he finds his face is paralyzed.

Do you think they’ll make the connection?

But you could be right in that the real reason they often cancel performances is usually not the reason they really do it.
