Trump better go easy on the “I told you so.” He’s going to wear it out. 😊

Back in 1981 Reagan was president

Yes, and inflation was coming down then. Today it keeps going up with no end in sight. Plus I think the inflation rate is higher than the 8.6% reported. It has to be with the cost of fuel rising fast at astronomical rates.

That’s not how it works with year over year numbers. The month to month increase was 1%. Annualized that would be 12%.

More than likely numbnuts will have a fireside chat in mid-August, “like Roosevelt did on live TV after he won the Civil War”, imploring us to set our thermostats at 58° to save energy.

So...when do the checks to the inflation-strapped start going out.

"The Democrats will provide support for needy families to help them weather this Donald Trump induced inflation that's harming us all."

1.6% of the population, what an epic fail.

More likely we will need government permission to drive anywhere.

But...Biden just went on Kimmel the other night and said we have the best economy “in the world, the world, the world”.

Saw a funny comment that said his needle (on the record player) was apparently stuck when he said that.

The Democrats are running our country INTO THE GROUND with their policies.

It’s a heck of a time to be retired and pre SS, I’m tellin ya.

Even worse, the inflation is an average of bunch of stuff.
The stuff people really need.
Food and gasoline are through the roof.
The crap and kitsch we do not need is holding the price or even going down.
So people, especially the “less fortunate” are hurting a lot worse than 8.6 %.

Spam on the grill…melt some cheese on that bad boy and you got some tasty mystery meat right there.

I was in Costco last week and they were selling twin pallets of Spam for 20 bucks or so, not a bad deal and folks were carting the stuff off at a pretty good clip.

I’ve been seeing Delmonico steaks at the local grocery stores, and I had no idea what they were. Still don’t know, I suppose I could search it.

Not true. I just posted the European gasoline prices, which historically were like double of the US. Now, the people of California, are getting similar or even higher prices than Europe.

It is NOT good to be retired. SS adjustments are lagging and they are all gone if you count the rise of Medicare.

My savings are getting hit.
I am being killed from both sides!

Seriously? Damn. There was a substitute for Porterhouse too, but for the life of me I cannot remember what the anti-tax name they stuck on the cut.

It’ll be interesting to see how the groomers and gaslighters spin this record inflation. They blamed Covid and it didn’t work. They blamed Putin and it didn’t work. Maybe they should blame Corn Pop. He was one bad dude.
