Maybe he MGTOW part, but the other part of not settling down because you’re finally coming into your own and you can now do what you wanted to do is just par for the course.
Why should a woman be able to have sex with 500 guys in her youth, but the man who couldn’t get a date in his 20’s not go have sex with 500 women, now that it’s being offered to him?
Is it reasonable for her to expect him to be chaste and monogamous when she wasn’t?

I would add that too many people confuse “love” with “desire”. Love is really the willingness to make an effort to promote the happiness and well-being of your loved one.
For husbands, showing affection to your wife when she’s not expecting it goes a long way.
For wives, a willingness to keep her husband sexually satisfied is important.

It’s more about a legal lose-lose for too many guys; they risk too much when divorce is granted for such reasons as “she met a wealthier guy”. Either party can be a bad spouse or seek a divorce, but the statistics that most are initiated by women simply scare off too many men.
It is too easy for them to be paying for some other guy to live in his house with his kids...

There are many YouTube videos warning young men about this, how the women are just after their assets and income streams; the high “body counts” of the women is mentioned a lot (though there is a double standard there).
Nowadays as many young women are facing the prospect of dying childless I’d be cautious if I was involved with a 30+ women; at this point more and more would accept raising a child alone rather than have no children.

You can’t put religion aside here because religion drove that sensibility in the culture. Even if you were an atheist you benefited from the uplift religion provided.

Bingo! I would a stepfather though and say that many of the women wanted thenparty lifestyle, and they are now at the age where they aren't prime anymore. Meanwhile, the guys have developed a career, probably doing well, and want nothing to do with those women who rejected them earlier.
As men age, their value to the opposite sex goes up. With women, it is the inverse.
