Isabella County (MICHIGAN) Sheriff’s Office is feeling the pain at the pump as well. We have exhausted what funds were budgeted for fuel with several months to go before the budget reset. I have instructed the deputies to attempt to manage whatever calls are acceptable over the phone. This would be non-in-progress calls, non-life-threatening calls, calls that do not require evidence collection or documentation. Deputies will continue to provide patrols to all areas of the county, they will respond to those calls that need to be managed in person. Any call that is in progress with active suspects will involve a response by the deputies. I want to assure the community that safety is our primary goal, and we will continue to respond to those types of calls. Sheriff
FEWER police patrols.
Ummmm.... higher gas prices could very well lead to MORE police patrols.
With a shortfall, police departments may see a need to increase revenue generation. Instead of idling by roads, they’ll shut down - only takes 1-second to start a patrol car. 0-60 in 10 seconds or less. And, they’ll be less likely to warn, going directly to collect $200 (or whatever, to ‘enforce’ codes, statutes and bylaws.
GOOD POINT..no warnings MORE $$$$$ tickets
If the Republicrats take over Congress, the first order of business should be to ELIMINATE Any and ALL Taxpayer funds being spent on Fossil Fuels, to save the erf of course
NO impeachment SHIT...get to righting the economy FIRST so the LOW INFORMATIONAL VOTER can see WHO MAKES THIS COUNTRY WORK
does LE have to pay for state and fed taxes?
Since they don’t have anything left in the budget for gas, they should just buy a fleet of electric vehicles. /sarc
Maybe debb-E stab-a-cow can appropriate some funds so the PoPo can get them some Tesla patrol cars and never worry about gas stations again.
Higher Gasless Police Patrols.
For USAF, he got pretty close.
