Thanks. I worked on TAF F16’s for a couple of years in my AF days.

Serious skid marks. In more than one location.

WW2. Kamikaze fighter planes had landing gear. Problem is it came off as the planes took off and became airborne. A runner fella ran out, picked them up and put them on the next plane. Didn’t tell them what was going on.

Appears they need to crash land on a shallow body of water. Have one of those cable grabber hooks like they do on carriers.

Pretty sure they prefer that the landing gear deploy prior to landing.

“Appears they need to crash land on a shallow body of water.”

Well the runways are on a reef there, so the water is right there.

They don’t need the water. It’s just there bc of rain.

The word you are looking for is “tail hook”. Pretty much all USA fighters have them just for this purpose, even if not carrier based.

Great pilot. I’ve already seen the video.

“An HDOT spokesperson confirmed that it is not a Hawaii National Guard fighter jet but did not know who the jet belongs to.”

We just let fighter jets land at our airstrips without knowing who they belong to now?

There was likely inflight refueling.

I wonder why it was necessary to fly an F-16 to Oahu.
