I know a lady who, between boyfriends, befriended a gay guy, liked (not loved) him, and she enjoyed the friendship.

I asked her how he liked being gay, she said ‘about as much as you’d like having cancer’.

Not sure of my point here, but “pride” might not be the best description of how they feel about their condition.

Having said that, I’m fine with gays that don’t flaunt their gayness. That’s the way the ones I know are, and I’m glad to have them as friends.
